The last euchre party of the
season was held Friday evening
at the Brinsley Community
Centre. The conveners were Mr.
& Mrs, Kelly Robinson and Mr. &
Mrs. Alonzo Hodgins.
Winners were ladies' high,
Mrs. Earl Lewis; low, Mrs.
Wesley Watson; lone hands, Mrs.
Guthrie 5tokes', men's high, Levi
White; low, Don Allen; lone
hands, Gunnar Hokannson,
McGillivray lady dies
Elsie May Fenton passed away
April 14, 1974, at her late
residence, Lot 16, Concession IV,
McGillivray township, in her 84th
year.
She was predeceased by her
husband the late Frederick
William Fenton.
Surviving are two sons,
William and. Howard Fenton; one
brother Cecil Ellwood, 12
grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
The funeral service 'took place
from the T. Stephenson & Son
Funeral Home, April 16, with
Rev. Clyde Westhaver of-
ficiating. Interment took place in
Ebenezer Cemetery.
Pallbearers were neighbours
and friends Wesley Watson,
Edward Watson, Jack Hodgson,
Andrew Dixon, Fred Lewis and
Wilbert Lewis.

dyman and grocery delivery boy

(Herbie) Schlundt celebrated his
65th birthday, Tuesday, at the
store where about 45 of his fans
(lady customers) had gathered.
He has worked for Verne Schatz
for 31 years,
He receiyed many gifts and
cards. Cake, Easter eggs, and
coffee were served.
Achievement Day was held at
Stephen Central School, Saturday
for 4-H girls of the district, Two
girls from Dashwood clubs, Jane
Merner and Janice Hayter,
received provincial honors.
Jane Hay ter, Carolyn Hart-
man, Donna Riddell, and Brenda
