IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD The meeting opened with an outside game of elbow tag. Following opening exercises the fairy queen was Lisa Miller. The Brownies heard a story called a Brownie Revel followed by two games while Brown Owl made up a surprise for Easter. Tawny Owl and Snowy Owl hid paper eggs on the community centre grounds while Brown Owl led the girls in a sing song. The girls then had an Easter egg hunt. Each girl was given an Easter treat Ladies Aid Group I of the Ladies Aid was in charge of the April meeting of Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid. The Lenten sermon by Rev. Morgret served as the topic. Mrs. Arnold Becker, president, dealt with the business. Group II is in charge of the mother and daughter supper in May. The Altar Guild reported 23 calls. The new Guild is Mrs. 'Reinhold Miller and Mrs. Bill Berends. UM Meeting Calvary United Church Women held their April meeting with the Christian citizenship committee in charge, Mrs. Clayton Merner, chairlady, opened with a thought on Easter, Scripture lesson was read by Mrs. Greta Schade and Mrs. Art Haugh led in prayer. The meditation, 'To be Continued' was given by Mrs, Gerald Mason, w, w Mrs. Lloyd. Eagleson, Mrs. Mildred. Kellerman, Mrs. Stuart Wolfe and Mrs, Greta Schade. A trio, Jack Gaiser, Mervyn. Tiernan and Stuart .Wolfe, sang two Easter hymns and Mildred Kellerman read a poem, Resurrection, Mrs. Mervyn. Tiernan, president, ,gave a reading, Strength for Living, The ladies donated $10 to Bunny Bundle, The Sunshine committee for April is Mrs. Gerald Mason and Mrs. Hugh Boyle. Easter Services Easter services were held in both the United and Lutheran church with church Good Friday. The Youth group of Zion Lutheran church assisted by the young people from Peace Lutheran conducted a Sunrise service patterned after the time of Luther. The service opened with the pastor garbed in robes similar to Luther leading a processional of youth with cross and banners. The young people ushered, sang, and assisted with the communion. Mr. & Mrs. Dave Rader at- tended the confirmation service at the Anglican church, Parkhill, when Pauline Scott received confirmation. Mr. & Mrs. Cal Wein, Exeter, Mr. & Mrs, Bud Rice, Grand Bend, mr. & Mrs. Gordon Stone spent the weekend in Detroit. Sunday they attended the service at Bethesda Missionary Temple and later visited with Mr. & Mrs. Ron Wein, Royal Oak, Michigan. Good Friday Evening Serice A good crowd attended the service Friday evening, Rev. Barry Robinson carried a cross into the sanctuary and placed it on the platform. Reflections on cross were given by Mrs. Larry Ballantyne, Mrs. Danny Coward and Mrs. Reg Hodgert. The Old Rugged Cross was sung by Mrs. Donald Bray, Sylvia Stewart, Sandra Stewart, Janice Stewart, Mary Kernick and Mrs. William Rohde. Mr. Robinson's sermon was on Death, 'Forgiveness and Paradise. The congregation gathered at the table in groups to take communion presented by Elson Lynn and Floyd Stewart.
