The Aid will put lilies on the altar for Easter, 4-H Club Club No. 1 of the 4-H girls held their meeting with the leaders, Mrs. Gordon Bender, Mrs. Stuart Wolfe and 19 girls present. The home economist, Jane Pengilley, was a special guest. Roll call was "One health habit I will follow to make a lovely complexion," Mrs, Vesta Miller demonstrated how to care for hair, type of hair and hair styling. Personals Mr. & Mrs, Wendell Gamble, London, were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rader. Mrs. Idella (Bammie) Fisher who was 101 Sunday, March 17, ' held open house at the home of her granddaughter and husband, Mr. and 'Mrs. Leeland Restemayer. Receiving the numerous callers with Mrs. Fisher was her daughter, Mrs. Edna Weber, Callers were from Flint, Mich., Forest, Thedford, Kitchener, Baden, Zurich, Exeter, London, and Dashwood. Supper guests included Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Jones and family; 'Kitchener, Mr. and Mrs. George Schmidt, Baden, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brintnell, Exeter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Masseo, London, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gibson, Lucan Judy Durnin, Kitchener, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Gibson and Michael, and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Guen- ther. The meeting opened with the new version of the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. Don Gaiser led in prayer and Mrs. Syd Neeb read the scripture. Rev. Bruce Guy gave a reading, With the continuing of Mission Impossible is Love, Rev. Bruce Guy introduced a film strip when questions were answered by Mrs. Harold Hendrick and Rev. Guy. Role play was taken by Mrs. Wm. Chandler, Mrs. Greta Schade, Mrs. Don Gaiser, Mrs. H. Hendrick, Rev. Guy and Mrs. Jack Gaiser, Mrs. , Mervyn Tiernan, president, dealt with the business. Nineteen members were present. The ladies will put two Easter lilies in the church for Easter_ The Sunshine committee is Mrs. Stuart Wolfe and Mrs. E,R, GUenther. Ladies Aid Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid held their March meeting Wednesday, following the lenten sermon by Rev. Fiank Morgret. The sermon served as the topic. ROSS SKINNER The Elimville Women's Institute held their euchre at the hall, Monday evening with eight tables playing. Winners were: ladies high - Helen Bell; men's high - Bill Stephen; lone hands, Delmer Skinner and lucky cup - Mrs. Eber Shute. There will be another euchre at the hall April 1 at 8:15 p.m. WI The Elimville Women's Institute entertained the 4-H members, mothers and daughters to a smorgasbord supper at the church for their March meeting. Mrs. Delmer Skinner and Mrs. Theron Creery were in charge of the tables. Following the meal everyone enjoyed a short sing song. Mrs. Howard Pym and Mrs. Elson Lynn were in charge of the program. Mrs. Pym introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Jane Davidson, Brucefield who spoke and showed pictures of the trip she enjoyed to India in 1972 with her five children. While in India she was a co- worker with Father Abraham in a boys high school at Darjelling where they were taught the raising of chickens. Mrs. D. Skinner thanked the speaker and a donation of money was presented to Mrs. Davidson for this school in India. Musical numbers were presented in action and song by the Glen Gowrie W.I. members. Mrs. Philip Johns, W.I. president held a short business discussion. Members were in- vited to attend Hurondale's dessert euchre, Wednesday March 20. County honours gift was presented to Miss Nancy Hern;, Provincial honour gifts to Linda Henn and Karen Brock; 25 yr attendance corsages to Mrs. T. Creery and Mrs. Horace Delbridge and a Baby Bank Book to Mrs. Jerry Grubb for her new daughter. Personals The Elimville-Thames Road CGIT and Explorer members enjoyed a bus-trip to London, Sunday afternoon where they attended a movie and had supper at the Ponderosa. Miss Joan Pym, Joan Ker- slake, and Eleanor Johns are on the trip to Rome with the South Huron High group this week. Deer killed in collision A deer was killed in the only accident reported this week to the Ontario Provincial Police detachment at the Pinery Park. A vehicle driven by Russell Desjardine, RR 1, Grand Bend was in collision with the animal on Highway 21, near the Ipper- mash Army camp early Friday morning. Constable. F.A. Gardiner in- vestigated and set damages at $750 to the Desjardine vehicle. In another of 25 occurrences investigated by the detachment this week $25 worth of goods was stolen in a break-in at a Port Franks cottage. Constable P.M. Clushman investigated. Eight charges were laid under the Liquor Control Act and five for highway infractions.
