attended .open house for the
parents of students enrolled at
the University of Guelph,
Saturday evening . Their son,
Gary, acted out the role of
"Farmer John" in a play
presented by the students
studying veterinary sciences,
Keith Walper was among those
who holidayed in Jamaica during
the winter-break at Western
University. One of his ob-
servations was to note the
poverty which exists there,
Mrs., Iva Lagerwerf, Violet
Brown, Martha English 'and
Minnie Curts attended the Huron-
Perth U.C.W. Presbyterial held
in Mitchell, Wednesday.
The , Willing Workers of the
United Church held their March
meeting Friday evening at the
home of Mr. & Mrs. Ron Turner.
Bill Woodburn and Ken Eagleson
served a spaghetti dinner to the
group early Saturday morning.
Mrs. Rose Isaac and Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Eagleson were
Saturday evening dinner guests
of Evelyn, Viola and Manuel
Curts.
Mr. & Mrs. Ted Scafe, London,
were Sunday visitors with their
grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Elton
Curts.
By the way . . , many of these
streakers evidently don't want to
reach the age when they're really
getting old, as well as losing their
zip and snap, and a pretty girl
gets on their nerves, instead of on
their lap.

The March meeting of the UCW
of Zion United Church was held
Thursday evening at the home of
Mr, & Mrs. Claire Schwartz. Mrs.
Alvin Finkbeiner was in charge
of the devotional program and
was assisted by Nola Faist and
Mrs. Chris Dinney.
The theme was prayer. Nola
Faist read a poem and sang,
accompanied by Mrs. Lorne
Preszcator. Accounts of prayers
in the Bible were read by Mrs.
Ross Krueger, Laura Mathers,
Mrs. Lloyd Hey, Mrs. Howard
Lightfoot and Mrs, Gordon Ratz.
Mrs. Dinney played the violin
during the offering,
Various members recounted
experiences of answered prayer,
and Ella Morlock shared some of
the inspiration offered at
Bibletown,
The president, Mrs. Cliff
Russell, conducted the business
session and reported the meeting
of the Presbytery at Mitchell.
Roll call was answered by a
quotation on prayer, There was
some discussion concerning
floor coverings for the renovated
church basement,
Hostesses were Ervin Ftatz,
Mrs. Roy Ratz, and Mrs. Russell
Finkbeiner.

The Crediton Club No. 4 held
their fifth meeting last Wed-
nesday evening at Debbie Fink-
beiner's.
Vice-president conducted the
meeting,
At this meeting the guest was
Miss Avril McCullah, who
demonstrated how to apply
make-up properly and the care of
the face. This useful demon-
stration was enjoyed by all.

Jack McCann' read the
correspondence.
Mrs. Elizabeth Cardno was the
guest speaker from Goderieh and
spoke on "Home Care and how it
can be provided in a family home
after Hospital Care." Rev.
Father J. Mooney spoke to the
ladies on prayer and fasting
during Lent. Coffee was served
and the meeting closed with
prayer.

afternoon. George Glendinning
enjoyed showing the students the
art of maple syrup making. All
reported an interesting day and
excellent weather for fun.
