Monday morning, a vehicle
driven by Glenn Anderson, RR 1
Hyde Park and a London town-
ship snowplow driven by Harold
Hodgins, RR 4 London, were in
collision on Concession 6, London
township. Constable Wilson set
damages at $250,
Shortly after noon Saturday,
Constable J. A. Wilson recovered
a stolen car which had been
stolen in London sometime
earlier. It was owned by Paul
Howard, 279 Baseline road,
London.
Turf club
holds dance
While property losses reached
$8,900 in an even dozen accidents
investigated this week by officers
of the Ontario Provincial Police
detachment at Lucan no one
suffered serious injuries.
The first mishap occurred
Wednesday evening at 6:30 when
a vehicle driven by Cunningham
Fraser, 1297 Huron street,
London went out of control on
Highway 4, north of Elginfield
and struck a sign post.
Total damages were listed at
$130 by Constable B. D. Munro.
The same evening, a vehicle
driven by Allan Hersey, 366
Avondale Road, London and a
van owned by Guenther-Tuckey
Transport, Exeter and driven by
Alec Johns, RR 6 St. Marys, were
in collision. •
Constable Munro was again the
investigating officer and set
damages at $975. The accident
occurred on Highway 4 at
Elginfield.
Atoms lead playoffs

Saturday night found the Irish'
again shorthanded as they were
defeated 11-4, Craig Corman,
Mike Wraith, Ron Funston and
Ed Legg were the Lucan
marksmen.
Lucan finished in fifth place
and will face the second place
Clinton Colts in a best three out of
five semi-final series. The first
game is in Clinton on Friday
night, followed by a game in
Lucan Sunday afternoon. A team
bus is travelling to the game
Friday night and spectators are
invited to come along, bus fare is
$1.00.

for Valentine's

Valentine's Day for the children

section of Middlesex County road
16 at the Plover Mills bridge and
went into the ditch.
The.driver suffered minor cuts

cidents occurred on Highway 4,
just north of Concession 12 in
London township at 1:30 p,1-11.
Constable James Craig set

involved were driven by Barbara
Van Luven, 25 Kappell Crescent,
Stratford and Robert Lang, RR 2
Aylmer.
At 6:30 p.m. a vehicle driven by
Dirk Van Bolhuis was damaged
to the extent of $2,200 when it left
County road 23, a quarter mile
north of Highway 7 and struck a
tree.
The driver suffered only minor
cuts and bruises, Constable D. R.
Vance investigated.
Less than an hour later, Con-
stable Vance was called to the
parking lot of the Green Gables
Nursing Home at Ailsa Craig,

collided at the junction of County
roads 22 and 13.

vestigated and damages were
estimated at $1,300.
Three persons were taken to
South Huron hospital in Exeter

Friday night the Lucan atom's
hosted first place Dorechester
and were defeated by a score of 6-
3 in league action, Jamie Shipley
led the Irish with a two goal
performance while Kevin Duenk
added the single marker.
Lucan played Mt, Brydges in
the first game of the OMHA
playoffs and won on the basis of
five unanswered goals in the
third period. Mt. Brydges led 1-0
going into the third period before
Lucan managed to get things
going and skated to a 5-1 victory.
Paul Wraith led the atoms with
two goals while Kevin Duenk,
Dave Egan and Ferlin Sovereign
added singles.
The atoms are one of Lucan's
strongest teams and it would be
worth your while to watch these 9
and 10 year olds in action,
The Pee Wee's are also in the
thick of OMHA Playoffs. Tuesday
they travelled to Belmont to take
on Dorchester and fought to a 4-4
tie. With Lucan trailing 4-3 and
only 20 seconds remaining in the
game, Anthony Clarke knotted
the score. Martin Duenk netted
two goals for Lucan while Ron
Glenn added the other marker.
The second game of the series
was played Friday night in Lucan
and the Irish were defeated by a
score of 4-3. Martin Duenk, Scott
Revington and Bob Hodgins
scored for the locals.
Saturday night Lucan travelled
to Goderich and were defeated, 4-3
in an exhibition game. Bob
Hodgins, Andrew Mann and
Martin Duenk each scored a goal
for the losers.
On Saturday, Feb. 16 and again
on the 17th the Pee Wees will host
a two game exhibition series
against Royal Oak, Michigan.

the second, Lucan regained the
