The CGIT meeting opened with
the CGIT hymn and purpose.
Penny iSrnith and Donna Wilson
led in worship and Nancy Tindall
took over as president since Anne
Beaton was ill.
The girls did liquid embroidery
for their bazaar,February 16, A
sing-song led by Linda Wilson
and Leah Priest,
Saturday the CGIT girls went
on a sleigh riding party at Bob
Tindall's, After the ride they
enjoyed refreshments at the
church.
Opened with the 4-H Pledge.
Mrs. Douglas and Mrs, John
Wallace discussed proper
working methods after which the
girls were divided into cooking
groups, the leaders being Kathy
Douglas, Gail Harburn, Cheryl
Riley, and Lorraine Laing.

Elimville church meets

A euchre party was held at the
Whalen Community Centre
Friday night with Mr, & Mrs,
Gerald Hern as hosts. Prizes
were given to Hamilton Hodgins,
men's high; Margery Morley,
ladies high; Marjorie Mills, lone
hands; and Lulu Neil, low score.
Mr. & Mrs. Allan Hodgins held
a birthday party Sunday to
celebrate Mrs. Hodgins' father's
birthday, Walter Gee of London.
Guests were Mr. & Mrs, John
Stinson and family, Mr. & Mrs.
George Over and family and
Percy Gee all of Toronto; Mr. &
Mrs, Allan Gee. Glanworth and
Mr. & Mrs. Norman Hodgins.

was chosen at the second meeting
which was held at the Douglas
home Saturday morning. Roll
call was; cereal products I have
eaten today, which was answered
by 10 members„
After reviewing some of the
working methods, Mrs. C.
Douglas led a discussion on
wheat as a staple food. Each girl
split a kernel of corn and learned
its parts. The girls were in-
structed to complete the"One Day
Record of Cereals Eaten chart in
the members pamphlet.
Group I, Kathy Douglas,
Teresa Wallace, and Bonnie
Norris, demonstrated Frying
Pan Cookies.
Gail Harburn and Jeana Elliott
demonstrated how to make
Dogwoods; Cheryl Riley cooked
onion rice, and Lorraine Laing
made a sample of ready-to-eat
cream of wheat. The girls were
able to try each food. Group III
provided chocolate mijk.

After the local 4-H leaders
attended the two day training
school they assembled Monday
evening at the Crediton Com-
munity Hall. Mrs. Mary Kenney
organized the girls into the four
Crediton clubs and the leaders
explained to the girls the
requirements of the club.

the organizational meeting
