their winning ways again this
week by blasting Centralia
College 124 and Arkona *5 in
the South Huron intermediate
hockey league,
The Colonials will bp in action
on two occasions this Weekend.
They meet a Canadian Artily
learn Friday night at 8,30 in an
exhibition contest and the Zurich
Flyers. Sunday afternoon at 2
p,m, in a regular league game.
Both games are at the Zurich
arena.
Dennis Morrissey was the top
Shipka goal getter with four
scores against Centralia College
and seven successful shots
against Arkona.
In the win over Centralia, Bill
Hoffman, Jim Guenther and Jim
Hoffman each scored two goals
and John Becker and Barry
Clarke added singles.
John Thomas was the lone
sharpshooter for the College.
Helping Morrissey in the goal
scoring department against
Arkona were Bill Hoffman, John
Becker and Steve Kadelecik with
two goals apiece, Notching
singles were Bob Lovie, Shane
Burley and Stan Lovie.
The Arkona goals were fired in
single fashion by Jack Molloy,
Terry Johnson, Wayne Johnson,
Dave Sheppard and Dave Hayter.

One bright spot in a dismal
year for the boys basketball
teams at South Huron District
High School came this week when
the seniors downed Wingham 71-
52.
It was the first South Huron
senior win and ended a winless
streak of 31 games which started
January 25, 1971.
In their only other start this
week the seniors lost a 56-42
decision to Mitchell after holding
a 29-25 lead at half-time.
The junior Panthers are on a
longer losing streak than their
senior counterparts, They lost
three times in recent outings
running their losing skein to 41
games.
The junior losses were 68-12 to
Wingham, 50-26 to the London
School for the Deaf and 78-14 at
the hands of Mitchell District
High School.
In the same vein, the South
Huron midgets lost 28-19 to
Wingham and 42-16 to Mitchell.
In further action, the three
South Huron teams will be at
home this afternoon, Thursday to
St. Marys in regular Huron-Perth
tripleheader.
A good team effort produced
the South Huron senior win over.
Wingham. Larry Savage was the
top scorer with 22 points to his
credit: Bryan .Tuckey was 'dose
behind with 17 while Albert
Klungel and Tim Ross each
chipped in with 10 points, Don
Giberson netted eight points and
Bill Wilson scored four. Wilson
was also a standout on defence.
Larry Savage with 20 points
was again the top South Huron
scorer against Mitchell. Bryan
Tuckey and Tim Rags were next
in line with seven points apiece.
Albert Klungel checked in with
four points and Don Giberson and
Wayne Oke each scored two
points.

senior Hawks scoring. Next in

Pacing the Usborne scoring
with a four goal performance was
Larry Skinner. Chris Daniels
notched a pair of goals and
singles were notched by Dennis

Brinsley lead
now three points
Brinsley has opened up a three
point lead at the top of the
standings in the Ausable Rec
hockey league. Brinsley has a
season point total of 36 with
Lieury second with 33 points.
Parkhill is in third place with 27
points and Shipka trails in the
basement without a point.
Sunday night, Brinsley downed
Shipka 7-3 and Parkhill edged
Lieury 7-4.
George Tryon and Bob Hodgins
each scored three goals to pace
the Brinsley scoring attack,
Getting the odd goal was Pete
Revington.
Scoring in single fashion for
Shipka were Steve Hodgins,Ron
Pickering and Rene Boogemans.
Adrian Vander Vloet with a two
goal effort was the top scorer for
Parkhill. Getting one goal
apiece were Dale Whitelaw,
Dale Battram, Frank Wall, Rick
Baird and Dave Hill,

Hugh Watson added singles.
Two Lieury players lead the

fratilicating with veterinarians
from all over North America and

which serve them,
