Jets fail to gain ground
Howling for Senior Citizens at
the Exeter Bowling Lanes started
Wednesday. There is still lots of
time to join in the fun. If you
would like to try bowling come
next Wednesday at 2 o'clock and
give it a try, The fee is 50 cents
per game and two games are

Taylor Motors played a good

score a 1-all tie, Danny Galloway
scored the only goal for Esso and
Jeff Musser the only goal for

The game between Cowans
B.P. 'and Conklin Lumber ended
in a 4 to 2 win for 13.P, Ted
Dueharrne scored the "hat trick"
for Cowans with a single goal by
Jack Smits. Trevor Boyle scored
both goals for Conklin.
All our minor hockey teams are
in C.M.H.A, play-offs. The Atom
team played' their first game of a
3 out of 5 series with Godqrich
here Sunday and won by a score.

Pee Wees and Midgets will have
played the first game of a 2 out of
3 series with Strathroy. The
winner will advance to play
either South London or St. Marys
in the second round. The bantams
start their play-offs here on
Friday night at 7 o'clock against
Strathroy.
The schedule for the first round
of play-offs for the Jr. Hawks will
be drawn up on Sunday at Lucan.
If there is no change in the
standings the Hawks and Mit-
chell will meet in the first round
in a 3 out of 5 series. The first
Hawk home-game will more than
likely be here next Friday
February 15, Don't forget there is

Stratford won over the Jets 10-4
emphasis was on the offense with
plenty of shots. The Perths led in
shots on goal 52-44.
Terry Bourne was the leading
scorer for the Jets with two goals
while singles were notched by
Jack Nairn and Jacques
Cousineau.
Loveless gets winner
A goal by Pete Loveless with
only a minute to go in the third
period gave the Jets their 5-4
Thurday win over London. Jack
Nairn and Tom Hodgins drew
assists on the play.
Jamie Robb was the Jets
leading goal getter with a pair,
Singles were fired by Jack Nairn
and Jacques Cousineau.

The Lucan-Ilderton Jets lost a
golden opportunity this week to '
move higher in the standings of
the Ontario Hockey Association
Continental Senior league.
They started off on the right
foot Thursday night with a close
5-4 win over the London Kings
and then the troubles started.
Friday night in Stratford, the
Jets dropped a 10-4 decision to the
Stratford Perths and Sunday
evening they were on the wrong
end of a 4-2 score with the London
Kings.
Only six points separate the
first five teams in the league
standings at the moment. The
Stratford Perths are out in front
with 36 points. The Durham
Huskies are next in line with 32
points, the Jets follow with 31 and
the Preston Jesters and London
Kings are deadlocked for fifth
spot with 30 points apiece.
The Jets are idle this week and
don't swing back into action until
February 11 when they travel to
Utica, Michigan to meet the
Michigan Patriots,
Against London Sunday, the
Jets got off to a good start with
the only goal of the first period.
Jack Nairn was the marksman
with assists going to Barry
Baynham and Pete Loveless on a
power play.
Mark Marcera and Dennis
Stead counted for the Kings with
the only goals of the second
period. The third period was only
