Mr. Sr Mrs. Jack Dickins, Exeter, visited Mr, & Mrs. Earl Greenlee Thursday evening. Sunday the cottage service with Rev. R. Savary in charge was, held in the home of Mr. 8z Mrs. E. Greenlee, In the evening they entertained Mr, & Mrs. Earl Atkinson, Lucan, and Mr. & Mrs. Raymond Greenlee, Exeter, in honor of Mrs, Raymond Greenlee's birthday. Mr. & Mrs. Ron Carroll and family visited their aunt, Mrs. Ada Ings, London, Sunday af- ternoon. Mrs. Alan Hill assisted hostess serving refreshments. Vestry meeting The annual vestry meeting of St. James Church was held Monday evening. Many officers returned for another year. Deputy wardens appointed were Bob Hodgins and Jim Cunningham. Mrs. Ruth Hill resigned as treasurer, after many years of faithful service, and nominated Dennis Little, Ken Carter was nominated chairman of the cemetery committee and called a meeting for January 21, Persona Is Katherine Worthington received the D.B. Weldon award for proficiancy in general course at the Medway commencement, Mr. & Mrs. Keith Simpson held a house warming, birthday party and wedding anniversary celebration Saturday evening for Ralph Simpson and Mr. & Mrs. Arnold Blake. Nathan Skinner spent a few days with Mr. & Mrs. D. Kestle and Janis and celebrated his second birthday, Sunday. Mr. & Mrs. C. Millson, Mr. & Mrs. E. Glavin, Leona, were Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. G. Millson. David Cunningham who has been in hospital in traction for several weeks is out of traction and will be taking therapy for a while ,before returning to his home. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Simpson visited Sunday with Gordon and Beatrice Eaton in London, Mrs. Mervin Carter has been taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where she is undergoing treat- ment. .Miss Aggie Northgrave ,has been released from hospital and will be at RBA iagt. The CGIT met in the schoolroom of the United Church Tuesday evening with Mrs. Susan Sinkovitch leading the worship service. Donna Wilson was appointed secretary for the meeting in the absence of Darlene Knee. Nancy Tindall vice-president was in charge of the business. Penny Smith was elected press reporter. The proceeds from the Vesper service amounted to $27.40. Christine Beaton and Karen Dietrich, led in games. UCW Meets The first UCW meeting in the New Year was held in the schoolroom of the church Thursday evening. The new president, Mrs. W. R. Scripture reading was given by Mrs. Lobb, Mrs. Ralph Lightfoot read the story of the Praying Hands and offered prayer. Mrs. Lorne Hicks showed Pape 9 pictures on Brazil and Africa and gave an interesting crinmentary. Lunch was 'served by the committee.
