Wrestling string
comes to an end
All good things come to an end
sometime. That's exactly what
happened to the South Huron
District High School wrestling
team this week,
They lost their first dual high
school meet after winning 68
straight over a period of six
years. The loss came at the hands
of Woodstock Huron Park,
In other action this week, the
wrestlers defeated Goderich 51-25
and finished fourth in a 12 team
tournament at Sarnia, Saturday.
Art Westelaken was by far the
best South Huron performer. He
won the 130 pound division at the
Sarnia tourney, came up with the
fastest pin of the week in 32
seconds, ran his unbeaten string
to 20 matches and was named
best wrestler of the week by the
coaches.
