SANTA CLAUS

the elves were busy making
toys,
For Santa to deliver to good girls
and boys.
The reindeer were hitched up and
ready to go,
To cover large areas while Santa
shouted, "Ho If° ffe"
With excitement and joy, gifts
they hope to receive
So that's why Santa Claus is such
fun to believe,
it has been a real pleasure to serve,
Now is the time
to rejoice in
the blessings . . .
and be moved by
the inspirational
meaning ... of
the season. And
to express sincere
thanks to each customer, whom

Twas the day before Christmas
And all through the day
The children were excited
Though happy and gay,
They laughed and they screamed
and
they dreamt all that night,
Just waiting for the day and the
glorious sight.
When the day finally came
And they all were full of joy,
Each child would play with their
own Christmas toy.
When the day had ended, they all
went to bed.
And thought about the best day
that they had ever had
"Christmas"
BY LAURIE PEPPER
Grade 5
Hensall P.S.
Twas the night before Christmas
There was so much to be done,
By the chimney were hung the
stockings one by one
Tommy was hoping for a little toy
gun,
Sister was hoping fora Santa that
runs;
We were just lying in bed
Wondering when we could hear
Santa's sled,
But finally I think I must have
dozed off,
Because when I woke up he had
already drove off.
SWEET BABY JESUS
BY JO-ANNE PEPPER
Grade 4
Hensall P.S.
Sweet baby Jesus the child in the
manger,
There you are laying with out any
danger
The little drummer boy will play
his drum
While Mary and Joseph quietly
hum
Everybody was waiting around to
see
Baby Jesus, the Saviour to you
and me
SANTA'S NEW HELPER
By DEBBIE VENNER

Hensall P,S.
Twas Christmas eve and Santa
was in a fix,
Instead of eight reinder he only
had six.
The children, their gifts would
not receive
If Santa couldn't get there
Christmas eve.
For six little reindeer the sleigh
• was too heavy.
Maybe Santa could rent a '73
The Chevy would cause some
pollution.
So this was not a very good
solution.
Could he get an elk or deer,
To help him with his Christmas
cheer.
There was one animal big and
strong
But he had been asleep all winter
long.
Smokey the bear might help them
out,
In fact he was a very good scout.
Smokey did help them out of their
plight
And now St. Nick is on his long
flight.
THE NIGHT BEFORE
CHRISTMAS
By ROBBIE PRYDE
Grade 7
Hensall P.S.
`Twas the night before Christmas
And all through the house
Not a creature was silent
Not even the mouse
Mother was screaming
And running about
The house looked like
It came from a heavyweight bout
The children were crying
And stomping their feet
Waiting for of Saint Nick
To bring them a treat
Then everything was silent
Nothing seemed to be violent
Mother stopped screaming
The children stopped crying
Nothing was heard
Except a plip plop
Then mother fell over
With a great big flop
Saint Nick arrived early
Still big, fat and burly
He said with a chuckle
With his thumbs in his belt buckle
Our very Best Wishes for a
happy and prosperous New Year
