This year as in the past them was a good turn-out of boys the first meeting of the wolf cub pack Monday. Under the leadership of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Riley, Mrs, C. Somann, Mrs. W, Medd, Mrs. S. Sutherland and Larry Savage, 20 cubs began a new season of action, education, discipline and fun. Mr, Singh, a native of India, was present and he said that the Boy Scout movement in his homeland is well organized. His son is an active member of cubs. It is a pleasure to the Singh family in the Park. If you have a boy aged 8 to 12, don't hesitate to have him enrolled. Our heartiest congratulations and best wishes to a fine hockey player, Matt Muller, who has been signed by the Exeter Hawks. The Park Minor Hockey Association is pleased with your accomplishments, Snowmobile action: that's what it is and from what I can gather, that's what it will be, Norm Tripp and his committee promise lots of fun for the members in the coming months, There is only one way to operate a snowmobile: GRAND BEND UNITED CHURCH Anniversary Services Sunday, Nov. 4 11:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Guest preacher - Rev. EXETER UNITED CHURCH #4: The Anglican Church of Canada TRIVITT MEMORIAL CHURCH UCW St. James U.C.W. had their October meeting at Mrs. James Cunningham's with 12 members present. Business consisted of deciding to cater to the booth at Joe Carter's farm sale November 10. It was also decided to hold the annual bazaar and tea November 3 in the church basement. Mrs. Pat Hodgins gave a reading and contest which Ruth Hill won. "properly" and in conjunction with a club. If you have a machine, why not join the Albatross Snowmobilers. Have fun, be safe, be organized. The Huron Park Men's hockey team is working hard in Preparation for their first game in Zurich against Shikpa this Friday, Last week they edged the Les Pines team 7 to 6 in a hard fought battle. In other action, CCAT tied Arkona 6-6 Monday at the Park arena, The Minor Hockey T.V, pool winners last Saturday were Mrs. Barb Goddard and John Breen. The tickets are selling quickly so get yours soon and help the kids. Speaking of Minor Hockey, teams have been selected and schedules are prepared. League games begin this week. The skate sharpener is now in operation at the arena, so there is no excuse for us to go slipping and sliding all over the ice on the back of our pants because of dull skates, Mrs. Condor has had some response to the Figure Skating Club notices and hopes that by next week she will have a sub- stantial group organized. After watching last weekend's CTV special "Skate Canada" it will, in the years to come, be a thrill to see her club's endeavors. The township dog catcher, Harvey Hollman, has informed me that the bylaw states: "No dogs are allowed to run loose at any time." So consider this a warning. Any dogs found loose in the Park could be destroyed. Dangerous offences are being committed on the runways and in the building at the airport by persons (including children) which could be very costly to the defaulters. The O.D.C. ad- ministration offices have in- formed me that someone with an air rifle has been shooting out the lights which are used in the guidance of aircraft landing and taking off, This airport is federal property which means RCMP action against anyone caught. I certainly wouldn't like to be in their shoes. Other incidents have been reported of people entering buildings on the base, which are empty, via broken windows. Such careless acts can only lead to injuries and trouble. If you don't live or work in these buildings, stay out. By MRS DAVID KESTLE CLANDEBOYE The fifth meeting of the "Panorma Printers" was at the home of Chris Beaton Saturday with 11 members present.
