Rev, H.G, Dobson and Mon-
signor Feeney conducted the
ceremony with music by Wendi
DesJardine and soloist Mary
Pitt.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a
traditional gown of off-white
dotted Swiss with empire waist
and fitted sleeve. The headpiece
held a tiered French illusion
scalloped veil.
The bride carried an autumn
cascade bouquet of roses, mums,
carnations and dried flowers.
She was attended by Cheryl
DesJardine as maid of honor,
Judy Rochester, Janet Elliott and
Diane Russell.
The maid of honor was dressed
in orange dotted Swiss and the
other bridesmaids in brown
dotted Swiss. They carried single
white commercial mums dipped
in orange.
Best man was Kevin Sharpe
and guests were ushered by Chris
Scarff, Barry Hiscocks and
Walter McManus,
Following a reception at Dash-
wood Community Centre, the
couple left for a wedding trip to
Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
For travelling the bride wore a
grey fitted flannel pant suit set
off with burgundy accessories.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Emerson A. DesJar-
dine, Grand Bend and the groom
is the son of Mrs. Lynne
Rochester, London.
The couple will reside in
London.
Prior to the wedding the bride
was honored at showers given by
Mrs. Robert Jennison, Mrs. Lee
Gosset, Mrs. William Vine, Mrs.
Arthur Haist and Mrs. Peter
Haist, and the employees of. the
Bank of Montreal at Richmond
St. and Tower Lane in London.

A lovely autumn wedding took
place in the Exeter Pentecostal
Church when Grace Darlene
Thomson, R.N., and Gary Wayne
Baxter exchanged rings and
vows October 20, 1973.
Baskets of gold and bronze
mums and candelabra decorated
the church. Rev. Austin Gedcke
officiated at the wedding
ceremony and a Holy Com-

Given in marriage • by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
white lagoda crepe, empire-waist
styled. The bodice was trimmed
with chantilly lace and satin,The
high neckline, full bishop sleeves
and full skirt were trimmed with
matching lace and satin. The
fullness in the back fell into a
cathedral train. The bridal cap
was of matching lagoda crepe
trimmed with satin and lace
edged with pearls and lace, her
long full length pure silk illusion
veil was edged with matching
lace.
The bride carried a cascade
bouquet of one dozen yellow
sweetheart roses, white car-
nations,stephanotis and ivy.

Maid of honor was Marilyn
Wall, St, Thomas. Bridesmaids
Were Joy Thomson, sister of the
bride, Kathryn Hall, Exeter and
Ruth Thomson, sister of the
bride.
They were dressed alike in
floor length mint green, Swiss
style gowns with long full sleeves.
The embroidered bodices fell into
full skirts. They wore matching
little Swiss caps and carried
baskets of gold and bronze daisy
mums and oak leaves highlighted
by orange star flowers.
Lori Lynn was the flower girl
and wore a floor length mint
green Swiss style dress similar to
the other attendants, accented
with a white eyelet pinafore. She
also wore a Swiss cap and carried
a small basket of flowers.
Groomsman was Jerry Rivett,
Goderich. Ushers were Norman
Thomson, brother of the bride,
Hans Kemph, Toronto and Ken
Wright, Owen Sound.
Gerald McAuley, Exeter was
the organist and accompanied
the soloist. Gene Clarke, Vic-
toria, Newfoundland..
The wedding dinner and
reception was held at the
Anglican Church hall. During the
reception Gene Clarke sang and
played several numbers.
After the reception the couple
left for a honeymoon in the Blue
Ridge Mountains of Virginia, For
travelling the bride wore a
chocolate brown dress with tan
accessories,
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Garfield Thomson,
Exeter and the groom is the only
Bahamas.
Church; Mrs. Esther Hall and
Kathryn. Hall; and the staff of St.
Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.
The bride is a graduate of
Perth-Huron Regional School of
Nursing and is on the staff of St.
Thomas-Elgin General Hospital.
Wed in autumn ceremonies
ringer, sexton, caretaker,
member of the choir and Sunday
school superintendent. He was a
member of Exeter I.0.0,F. of
which he was financial secretary
for 25 years. He was an employee
of Ross and Taylor Lumber Co.
for many years.
He died in 1936 in his 54th year
and was buried in Exeter
Cemetery.
Mrs. Honor Jennings was an
active member of Trivitt
Memorial, member of the
Women's Auxiliary, Ladies Guild
and Sunday School teacher. She
died in January, 1973 in her 81st
year and was buried in Exeter
cemetery.
