Recently, Mr. and Mrs, Wilfred
Leitch, Denfield, married in
Windsor October 11, 1923, held
open house in the banquet room
at the Shillelagh motor Hotel in
Lucan for their friends and
relatives, cerebrating the oc-
casion of their fiftieth an-
niversary.
Nearly 200 signed the guest
book coming from as far away as
Ottawa, Fort Erie and Windsor,
as well as London and Lucan.

held in Calvary United church
Sunday. Rev. J. Beaton, Cen-
tralia, delivered an inspiring
sermon at the morning service
with the local choir and Mrs.
Robert Hoffman soloist,
providing the music, The King
James Version, a men's quar-
tette from Toronto took charge of
the evening service.
The sixth meeting of the Dash-
wood no. 2 girls' club was held
recently with 21 members
present. Sheila Willert discussed
the Scandinavian countries,
Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and
Finland. The Danish
"Smorrebrod" and the Swedish
"Smorgasbord" were explained .
The girls made cabbage rolls and

The anniversary party had
another special meaning as Mr.
and Mrs. Jerry Leitch were also
celebrating their 25th an-
niversary. They were presented
with a clock by the family.
A dance and smorgasbord
followed the gift presentations.
On October 11 the family also
treated Mr. and Mrs. Leitch to a
special dinner at Hooks
Restaurant, London, followed by
a visit to Mrs. Leitch's sister,
Mrs. Dot Elgie, London.
