Damages totalling more than $3,800 resulted frptri eight ac- cidents this week investigated by officers of the Lucan Ontario Provincial Police detachment, The first mishap of the week occurred Thursday at the in- tersection of highways 4 and 7 at Elginfield, Involved were vehicles driven by Florence A. Wilson and damages were listed at $190. At 5 p.m. Saturday a vehicle driven by George G. Earley, RR 1, Kerwood struck a parked vehicle owned by David R. Hersey, 955 Whitton Avenue London. The mishap occurred on the Ilderton fairgrounds parking lot and Constable Disher set damages at $200. The 1,250 foot smokestack with its emission plume dominates the Sudbury skyline. The citizens are justly proud of their growing university.
