a Long Service and Good Conduct medal signifying 20 years service in
the RCMP, Presenting the award is Supt. R.J. Wall, officer in charge of
the Nelson Subdivision. Sgt. Schroeder joined the force January 6,
1953 and has served in B.C. since his training period., He is presently
NCO in charge of Grand Forks Detachment, Grand Forks, B.C.

The organizational meeting of
Clandeboye No, 2 4-H club met
Tuesday evening at the home of
the leader, Mrs, Kestle with eight
girls present, Susan Hodgins is
president; Maria Richards, vice-
president; Cindy Donaldson,
secretary; Janis Kestle,
treasurer; and Jan Robertson,
press reporter, assistant leader is
Mrs. Groenewegen.
Supplies were tallied to be
ordered and the girls chose the
name "Printin' Pals." for the
project "Block Printing."
Perry Cunningham had the
misfortune to slip and fall from
the monkey bars at school
Monday, but was not seriously
injured.

Ken and Viola Carter en-
tertained John and Pat Brownlee
and family, Gravenhurst and
Clarence and Barb Carter and
family Sunday. The Brownlees
spent the weekend.
Mr. & Mrs. Henry Stucke,
London and Mrs. Stucke's two
sisters from West Germany were
touring Exeter and stopped in
Clandeboye to visit with Mr, &
Mrs. D, Kestle. Mr. Stucke
imigrated to Canada about 24
years ago, came to Exeter and
moved into the apartment in
W.F. Abbott's house, now owned
by Webster on Victoria St.
Two housekeepers were talking
over their problems of work. One
said, "This lady I work for says I
should warm the plates for our
dinner guests. But that's too
much work. I just warm hers,
and she never knows the dif-
ference."

Perth TB and Respiratory
Disease Association, held in
Seaforth, last Wednesday.
Routine reports were given by
Mrs. Edith Brothers,
Rehabilitation and Patient
Services; Mrs, Edith. Fisher,
Education; Ralph Goren,
Christmas Seal Campaign and
Financial.
Mrs. Brothers reported that the
Association is enjoying the
services of aUniversity Hospital,
Respiratory Technologist, who
is travelling about the two county
area advising and supervising
the Association inhalation
therapy machines and activities,
Mrs. Fisher said plans have
been finalized for "Smoke Brake
'72" the Association's anti-
smoking week in the near future.
Three speakers will be attending
Community meetings and the
public. is encouraged to attend.
