A REAL PRO Five-year-old Karen Dykeman looked like a real pro sit-
ting on top of the piano belting out a song as her mother, Marilyn,
ss. ,g along and accompanied her. They won second prize in the
"group" class at the talent show at Lucan Fair Friday evening. Karen

KUNG FU DEMONSTRATION — Anyone who thinks Kung Fu is only a television show should have seen the
demonstration of that ancient Chinese art at the Lucan Fair Sunday. To illustrate the confidence and concen-
tration in their art, the leader of the group took a giant, and very sharp sword and in two quick motions, slic-
ed through the watermelon resting on his one assistant's stomach and being held by the other assistant. Both

TENSION BUILDS - The tension started to mount during the last rounds
of the horseshoe tournament at Lucan Fair Sunday. World horseshoe

Lucan over the weekend. Encouraged by some vocal members of the Lions club, the patrons paid their money

gelding, owned and ridden by Janet McDowell of Centralia, carefully
negotiates an obstacle in the Trail Class. Janet, who placed second in
the event, was showing at Lucan Fair's western horse show on Satur-

youngsters, and Jennifer Hodgins is no exception, especially when
grandma (Iva Hodgins) is along to help on that initial ride and mom
