Exchange vows of matrimony
in recent summer ceremonies IS A TRUE STORY

The bridal bouquet was a
cascade of white daisies and red

Theresa Glavin, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. She
was gowned in a pink floral nylon
sheer over taffeta gown
fashioned with high waist line,
ruffled neckline and .capelet.

repeated at the hem. A pink
velvet ribbon circled the waist
ending in a back bow with flowing
streamers, She wore a pink
picture hat and cavieda cascade
of white daisies,'
The bridesmaids, Theresa
Rutten, Mrs. Anne Sheardown,
and Anne Glavin were gowned
similar to the maid of honor
dressed in pastel colours of
green, blue and yellow respec-
tively.
The timer girl, Cathy Glavin,
niece of the bride, was dressed in
a white polyester crepe dress
styled similar to the attendants'
gowns. She carried a basket of
tiny red rosebuds and* white
daisies.
Best man was Tony Rutten,
brother of the groom, while Larry
Glavin, twin brother of the bride,
Ted ' Taylor, and Ron Dixon
ushered the guests.
Following a reception at the
Dashwood Community Centre the
newlyweds left for a honeymoon
to Northern Ontario and Quebec.
For travelling the bride changed
to a dress of green and white
arnel with white trim.
Upon return the couple will
reside at RR 8, Parkhill,

ceremony with music by Agnes
Bray arid soloist Heather Squire.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor
length gown of white silk organza
styled in a Gibson girl neckline,
long sheer sleeves, modified
waistline and trimmed with
chantilly lace on the ruffled V
bodice and apron front skirt. An
attached chapel length train was
similarly outlined by lace and a
ruffle. A short four-tier silk
illusion veil with matching lace
on the Juliet cap finished off the
outfit,
She carried a cascade of
orange and yellow roses, orange
carnations, white fujius and
stephanotis,
Maid of honor was Karen
Russell with bridesmaids Mrs.
Lynn Hoegy and Joyce Russell
and junior bridesmaid Loree
Russell.
They wore floor length gowns
It
of yellow and orange flowered
nylon over yellow taffeta with
large full sleeves, elbow length
cuffs and a stand-up collar. The
skirts had a midriff waist line
with two layered ruffles on the
bottom. Yellow picture hats with
matching ties and nosegays of
deep yellow daisies, orange
tinted fujius and orange, lime
green and yellow star flowers
completed their outfits.
Best man was Glen Francis.
Ushers were Fred Reaney, David
Adams and Randy Russell.
Following a reception at
Kirk ton-Woodha m Community
Centre, the bride changed to a
travelling outfit of a green jersey
jacket dress with white polka
dots and white collar and cuffs.
The bride is the daughter of
Roy Russell and the late Mrs.
Audrey Russell, Russeldale, and
the groom is the son of Mrs. Roy
Francis and the late Mr. Francis,
RR 3, Mitchell.
The couple will reside at the
groom's farm at RR 3, Mitchell.

Rev. Father J.G. Mooney of-
ficiated at the double ring
ceremony. Twin brothers, David
and Dennis Glavin, served at the
nuptial mass. Music was
provided by Robert McIntosh,
Exeter and the soloist was Mrs.
Robert Hoffman, Dashwood.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride was gowned in a
floor length, sleeveless dress of
polyester crepe featuring a high
line bodice with curved seaming
and rounded neckline which was
trimmed with guipure lace. Over

stains on textile articles but it is

Iry went to Montreal
Everyone thought he went for a holi-
day, but he ended up at the furniture
show and saw so many exciting lines in
the new fall showing he went on a
spending spree.
Bob was perplexed!
The store was already crowded with
chesterfields and chairs and there was
an obvious question of what they were
going to do with all the new furniture
which would soon be arriving.
Gord had an idea!
He suggested that the only feasible
way around the problem was to clear
out the present stock at sizeable
savings to encourage people to buy
