Crediton club scores win In Western Athletic Association midget baseball action Sunday afternoon, Crediton downed Hanover by a score of 14-8. The Crediton club playing on their home field, scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning and clinched the verdict with a five run outburst in the eighth. Hanover made the score a little closer by getting five runs in the ninth, With Hanover leading 2-0, Crediton loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the third and pinch hitter Steve Schroeder cracked a grand slam home run to put his club in front to stay, Walks to Mike Desjardine and Kevin Bestard and a hunt single by Keith Davey loaded the bases and set the stage for Schroeder's four run blow. Four base hits produced three Crediton markers in the sixth inning. Rodger Finkbeiner slugged a double and Ron Bowers, Mike Desjardine and Bruce Hodge contributed singles. In the seventh Steve Schroeder drew a walk and rode home on pitcher Larry Clarke's home run. The final five Crediton runs came across the plate in the eighth inning as the result of singles by Ron Bowers, Kevin Bestard and Rodger Finkbeiner. Larry Clarke went the distance on the mound for Crediton and picked up a total of 10 strike-outs. While the right to talk may be the beginning of freedom, the necessity of listening is what makes the right important.
