Pitching has been dominant
during the first two games of the
Huron-Perth intermediate
baseball schedule for the Exeter
Expos.
In the opening game of the
season Friday night in Dashwood
the Expos received an excellent
pitching performance from
Larry Gibson as they edged the
Tigers 4-1.
Sunday afternoon, the story
was repeated only in a shorter
manner as the game at Exeter
Community Park with the
Walkerton intermediates was
called in the fourth inning
because of rain.
The game was scoreless when
time was called. Jim Pfaff on the
mound for the Expos recorded
eight strike-outs in the first three
innings.

In taming the Tigers Friday
night, southpaw Larry Gibson
