Records were broken at the
Exeter Bowling Lanes Monday
night as the Rockets finished the
regular season of the Exeter
Men's "A" league with a real
bang to win the schedule
championship.
The Rockets led by Jack
Fuller's 944 triple swept seven
points from the Superiors and
edged the Spares by only two
points for the league title, 142 to
140.
Fuller's excellent performance
also gave him the league's high
triple and high average. The high
triple up to Monday night was
held by Wilf Beattie at 942.
The Rockets second game five-
man score was 1573 and the team
triple of 4,172 was the highest
ever bowled at the local lanes,
In the second game, all five
bowlers counting recorded scores
of more than 300. Al Flynn led
this game with a 333, Lorne
21 Haugh, Bill Farquhar and Jack
Fuller all checked in at 303 and
Pete Durand's score was 305.

ANNOUNCING YOUR NEWLY APPOINTED DEALER OF
MICHELIN 'X' STEEL-BELTED RADIAL TIRES:
DON TAYLOR MOTORS
EXETER
Whatever make car you drive from a full-size North
American model to a sub-compact import, your new
Michelin dealer is fully equipped to fit your car with
the precise size and type of tire it requires.
He and his staff are prepared to explain the construc-
tion and discuss the advantages of radials over bias-
belted and bias-ply conventional tires. They are
prepared, too, to demonstrate how and why Michelin
`X' radials represent the maximum in tire value for
your tire dollar.
If you consider that safety, when measured in shorter
stopping distances, greater puncture resistance, im-
proved steering control and firmer, more stable contact
between car and road — under all driving conditions,
is important, ask how these performance qualities are
built into Michelin radials. If gasoline economy--
when measured in more miles from the same kind and
amount of gas you're now using is the kind of "return"

on your tire investment you would like to have, ask for
an explanation of Michelin's radial/steel-belted con-
struction which makes fuel saving a reality. Finally,
investigate the kind of tread life you can expect. For a
biased estimate ask your friends what they've been
getting on their Michelins; for a more conservative
estimate, ask your dealer. Either way, you will be
satisfied that you can expect many thousands of
trouble-free, worry-free miles.
Before you buy your next set of replacement tires, or
your next new car, make a point of discussing Michelin
'X' with your new dealer. Trust him to serve you with
confidence. We do,

while playing short handed.
Terry Bourne was on the firing
end of the successful shot and '
assists went to Dick Doughty and
Don Urbshott.
Two minutes later, Brian Hind

The Exeter Pee Wee's Legion
Ladies Auxiliary meet Hunts-
ville in a three out of five series
with the first game here on
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
The series is for the all Ontario
Minor Hockey Assocation pee
wee 'B' championship. The
Exeter team on the way to the
Ontario final has eliminated St.
Marys, South London, Delhi,
Niagara on the Lake and Petrolia
in that order.
Their first play-off game with
St. Marys was played on Febuary
7. so here we are two months and
some 14 play-off hockey games
later in the Ontario finals with
Huntsville. Huntsville is no
stranger to Exeter as midget and
bantam teams in the past have
played teams from that town in
similar situations for the Ontario
finals and I might say came away
second best.
This year's pee wee team is the
best pee we team we have ever
had in Exeter, some of the teams
in the past could put six players
on the ice as good as any we have
now, but didn't have the depth
and balance this year's team has,
So for good pee wee hockey
come out Sunday at 2 p.m. I am
sure you will agree with me it is
just as enjoyable to see these two
teams in action as any series in
the arena this season.
Lankamp's Esso and Conklin
Lumber tied on Sat. morning at
one goal each and this makes the
series a win and a tie for Conklin
while Esso has only a tie in two
games. The final game will be
played Wednesday night at 6:30.
The winner will be declared
Novice houseleage champion for
1972-73. Larry Dawson and Jeff
Newby were the goal scorers.
In the consolation series Taylor
Motors defeated Cowan's B.P. 4-
2. Steven Horn scored two of
Taylor's goals with singles by Bill
Hern and Wayne Parsons. David
Bell and Alex Osgood each scored
a goal for the B.P's. The final
game of this series is Saturday
morning at 10 a.m.
There is no squirt or mite
