Very few area accidents
Despite extremely hazardous
driving conditions during the
weekend blizzard, the Exeter
OPP reported only three ac-
cidents during that time, all
being of a minor nature,
A Stratford man, Charles Carr,
went off Highway 83 east of
Exeter on Saturday and his car
sustained damage of $400. Cars
driven by Harry Kingma, Exeter
and Eudora Peters, RR 1 Grand
Bend, collided near the in-
teresection of Highway 83 and 21
and damage was only $100.
The only other crash during the
storm was at 2:15 p.m. Saturday
when Lloyd Webber, RR 1
Woodham, knocked over a traffic
sign at the intersection of High-
way 4 and the Crediton Road,
with damage of only $10.
On Monday afternoon, a car
Lack of services
cause refusal
Exeter council has again
turned down a building permit
request from J. Paul Ducharme
to erect a house in the Dow
subdivision.
At their last meeting, council
turned down two requests from
Ducharme because services were
not provided to the lots where
construction was proposed.
Monday's refusal was based on
the same reason. There is no
adequate roadway leading to the
lot on Kingscourt Crescent where
Ducharme proposed to build.
Permits were approved for the
following; Conklin Lumber, to
renovate building on Thames
Road West; Frank Giffin, to build
a house addition on John St.
East; miscellaneous repairs and
renovations for A. Hunking, H.
Rowcliffe, M. Edwards, D.
Taylor, V. Postill and A. Attfield.
All are subject to final approval
by the building inspector.
Approval was also given Acme
Signs to erect a sign for Huron
Motor Products at the in-
tersection of Highways 4 and 83,
subject to approval of the
ministry of transportation and
communications.

a dear father James Donaldson who
passed away .2 years ago March 22,

Somewhere beyond the sunset
Where loneliness never dies,
He dwells in a beautiful garden
Beneath God's heavenly skies.
May the winds of heaven blow softly
On that sweet and sacred grave
Where the one we love is sleeping
And will never be forgot.
A tribute of love and remembrance
To a father who was one of the best.

Be found in God's garden of rest.

IN MEMORIAM ----
GLANVILLE - In loving memory of
a beloved mother-in-law Tillie Irene
Glanville who passed away so
suddenly 13 years ago March 26, 1960,
The blow was great, the shock se-
vere.
We little thought the end was near,
And only those who have lost can
tell,
The pain of parting without fare-
well.
More each day we miss you,
Friends may think the wound is
healed
But they little know the sorrow,
That lies within ourhearts con-
cealed
Your end was very sudden,
You made us weep and cry,
But the saddest part of all,
You never said goodbye,
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
"Don't cry, I'm only sleeping
We'll meet again someday."
Sadly missed and ever
remembered by daughter-in-law Mrs.
Stan (Shirley) Preszcator. 12 nc
OESCH - In loving memory of a
dear father and grandfather David
Oesch who passed away three years
ago March 22, 1970,
There's a gift in life you cannot buy
That's very rare but true
It's the gift of a wonderful father
Like the one we found in you
The many things you did for us
In your kind and loving way
You gave us years of happiness
No one can take away
To us, you were special
God must have thought so too
We will remember our whole life
through
Those last few words we had with you
Sob
as you were then you will always
Treasured forever in our memory.
Always remembered and sadly

Laureen, Vera, Carl, Bob and their
families. 12p
RADER - In loving memory of John
L. Rader who passed away one year
ago March 26, 1972.
Without farewell he fell asleep
With only memories for us to keep
If he could have spoken before he
died
These are the words he would have
replied
This life for me has truly passed
I loved you all to the very last
Weep not for me but courage take
And love one another for my sake.
