ANNOUNCING YOUR NEWLY APPOINTED DEALER OF
MICHELIN'X' STEEL-BELTED RADIAL TIRES:
Huron Motor Products Ltd.
Pontiac-Buick-Cadillac-GMC Truck
MAIN STREET — ZURICH
Whatever make car you drive — from a full-size North
American model to a sub-compact import, your new
Michelin dealer is fully equipped to fit your car with
the precise size and type of tire it requires.
He and his staff are prepared to explain the Construc-
tion and discuss the advantages of radials over bias-
belted and bias-ply conventional tires, They are
prepared, too, to demonstrate how and why Mithelin
'X' radials represent the maximum in tire value for
your tire dollar.
If you consider that safety, when measured in shorter
stopping distances, greater puncture resistance, im-
proved steering control and firmer, more stable contact
between car and road — under all driving conditions,
is important, ask how these performance qualities are
built into Michelin radials. if gasoline economy
when measured in more miles from the same kind and
amount of gas you're now using is the kind of "return"
on your tire investment you would like to have, ask for
an explanation of Michelin's radial/steel-belted con-
struction which makes fuel saving a reality. Finally,
investigate the kind of tread life you can expect. For a
biased estimate ask your friends what they've been
getting on their Michelins; for a more conservative
estimate, ask your dealer. Either way, you will be
satisfied that you can expect many thousands of
trouble-free, worry-free miles.
Before you buy your next set of replacement tires, or
your next new car, make a point of discussing Michelin
'X' with your now dealer, Trust him to serve you with
confident°. We do.

second period, Gary Brown
knotted the score for Bothwell.
Only three minutes later, the Jets
were back into a one goal margin.

Five Goals Help
A five goal splurge in the third
period allowed the Exeter Hawks
to gain Wednesday's 7.3 victory
and their first win in the best-of-
seven series.
The game was close from start
to finish and the Mitchell club
were still in contention well into
the third period as they came
close to scoring on many oc-
casions just before the Hawks
moved ahead.
The first period was even with
each club scoring two goals. The
game was only 42 seconds old
when Don Nicholson put the
Mitchell team in front.
The score was all tied up at 7.02
when Exeter captain Jim
Guenther completed a three-way
passing play with Pete Glover
and Brian Campbell.
Mitchell went ahead again as
Nicholson fired his second goal at
16.43 and with only 33 seconds
remaining in the period Pete
Glover put his Exeter club back
on even terms as he took a pass
from Harry Smits and put the
puck behind Terry O'Krafka in
the Mitchell nets.
With only 29 seconds played in
the third period, the Hawks went
ahead 3-2 on Glover's second goal
of the night with the assist going
to Perry Stover.
The majority of the more than
800 fans in attendance went into a
great roar only 25 seconds later
as Jim Guenther scored what
proved to be the winning goal as
he finished off a play with Brian
Campbell and Brian Taylor.
One goal down the Mitchell
youngsters swung to the attack
and Exeter goalie John Hayter
was forced to come up with three
consecutive excellent saves to
keep his goal clear.
Immediately after a sen-
sational Hayter stop, the Hawks
swung back and Perry Stover hit
Brian Bestard with a long pass on
the left side near centre ice and
the Grand Bend area forward
moved over the Mitchell blue-line
and let go a booming slap shot
which caught the net for an jn-
suranee goal.
Persistent puck handling paid
off near the 15 minute mark as
Harry Smits kept battling up the
left boards recovered the puck a
couple of times after seeming to
lose it and went into score with a
good shot,
Brian Bestard put the icing on
the cake at 16.01, finding a loose
puck in front of the Mitchell net
on a bit of a scramble and
plinking the red light.
The parade to the penalty box
was very light with only seven
minor infractions called by
referees Gerry Overholt and
Norm Bordage. Randy Tiernan
was called for tripping in the
second period and was the only
Exeter player to be penalized.
Hold Early Lead
In Mitchell Friday night, the
Exeter Hawks scored the only
goal of the first period and were
able to up their goal total to four
before Mitchell hit the
scoreboard for the first time at
the eight minute mark of the
closing frame.
A pair of midget-aged players
combined to score the Exeter
goal in the first period. Brian
Taylor fired the shot at 15.08 on a
pass from Steve Schroeder.
In the second period, Harry
Smits scored for the locals on an
unassisted effort at 7.43 and only
27 seconds later combined with
Gerald Weido to set up passes for
a goal by Jim Guenther.
A three-way passing com-
bination produced the fourth
Exeter goal early in the third
period. Pete Glover fired the shot
and help was provided by Steve
Schroeder and Perry Stover.
Mitchell came back to score
twice on goals by Charlie Smith
and Bill Walt.
The final Exeter goal came
with less than two minutes
remaining and was scored by
Brian Campbell on a three-way
effort with Brian Taylor and
Murray Parsons,
Penalties were 8041 confined
to the two minute variety with
Mitchell taking eight of the 15
calls.
