Monkton speaker for Prayer Day Six churches participated in the World Day of Prayer Service held March 2 at Holy Trinity Anglican Parish Hall. The churches were St, James Anglican, Clandeboye United, St. Patricks Roman Catholic, Lucan United and Holy Trinity Anglican chtirch. Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Stokes of Nova Scotia, formerly of Corsey line in Lucan, were held in Nova Scotia on March 10. The McCormick Home at present is full of the flu. Three former Lucanites, Mrs. Price, Miss Ross and Miss Abbott all among the victims. Mrs. Catherine Fischer spent a few days with Mr. & Mrs. Tommy Thompson and family, London, Mr. & Mrs. Larry Roden and Mr. & Mrs. Ray Fischer of London were weekend guests of Mrs. Catherine Fischer.
