Only two accidents were in-
vestigated this week by officers
of the Lucan Ontario Provincial
Police detachment.
The mishap causing the most
damage occurred late Saturday
evening when a vehicle driven by
Mary Christine Hay, 100 Huxley
Street, London left highway 7 east
of the Gray ton road and struck a
culvert.
The driver suffered slight in-
juries and Constable 13,11. Vance
estimated damages at $1,000.
Only $75 in damages was listed
Tuesday evening when vehicles
driven by Otto Darling, RR 2,
Lucan and Artelle Parkinson, RR
2, Denfield were in collision on
Concession road 11 in
McGillivray township, just north
of the Brinsley road.
Constable C.D. Auger in-

mander Comrade Bill Smith has
set for his next Zone A-5 meeting

540, Lucan. The Zone Com-
manders wish is that all

entertained while we are in
session, should be a nice change

Six churches participated in
the World Day of Prayer Service
held March 2 at Holy Trinity
Anglican Parish Hall. The
churches were St, James
Anglican, Clandeboye United, St.
Patricks Roman Catholic, Lucan
United and Holy Trinity Anglican
chtirch.
The guest speaker was Mrs.
Ken Rennick, Monkton and the
theme of the service was "Alert
in our time".

Funeral services for Mrs.
Harry Stokes of Nova Scotia,
formerly of Corsey line in Lucan,
were held in Nova Scotia on
March 10.
The McCormick Home at
present is full of the flu. Three
former Lucanites, Mrs. Price,
Miss Ross and Miss Abbott all
among the victims.
Mrs. Catherine Fischer spent a
few days with Mr. & Mrs. Tommy
Thompson and family, London,
Mr. & Mrs. Larry Roden and
Mr. & Mrs. Ray Fischer of
London were weekend guests of
