Mrs, John Turkheim played the organ and accompanied soloist Gail Traviss. Given in marriage by her father, the bride worea full length gown of white swiss dot over peen de sole featuring a high ruffled neckline and sheer sleeves. White lace trimmed the waistline and double flonnce around the bot- tom, She chose a long flowing double veil trimmed with mat- ching lace and carried a cascade of white and yellow baby mums surrounding a purple orchid, The bride's attendants were dressed alike in full length mauve polyester crepe dresses trimmed with white and mauve daisies. EARL DOUGLAS McNAB The March meeting of the South Huron Hospital Auxiliary was held Tuesday afternoon with President Mrs. Olga Davis presiding. It was decided to hold the Huronview news Volunteers from the Goderich township Womens Institute were on hand on Monday afternoon to assist with activites. A new resident was welcomed to the liRme and the audience sang -"Happy —Birthday" to those celebrating during the week. Music for the occasion was supplied by Mrs. Bill Cox, Mrs. Maitland Driver, Norman Spier and Derry Collins, Volunteers Mrs. Banter, Mrs. Vanderwaai, Isabel Harris, Dora Heard, Bernice MacIlwain and Hazel McReath, helped with various parts of the program. Entertainment for family night was provided this week by a musical group from Clinton. The barbershop quartet sang several old melodies as well as sacred numbers. Members of the quartet, with Mrs. Bill Hearn as director and accompanist , are Ralph Holland, William Craig, Don Andrews and Harry Mit- chell. The instrumental part of the program consisted of Wilfrid Jervis playing bones and Bill Craig .the harmonica. Mrs. Paisley thanked the entertainers on behalf of the residents for the fine program. The theme was "The gracious invitation", with reference made to the spiritual value of a family meal and to meals mentioned in Scripture. Mrs. Gordon Fink- beiner played a piano solo; Mrs. Walter Fydenchuk and Ella Morlock sang. Sorority choose slate of officers Louise Giffin was hostess for the Tuesday night meeting of the Alpha Pi chapter sorority. There were 17 girls, 100 percent at- tendence, at the meeting. The main business was electing the new executive. They are: president, Diane Jeffery; vice president, Mary Allison; secretary, Alice Beer; and treasurer, Sharon O'Toole. The roll call was answered by naming a favorite piece of music. It was decided to make a donation to the Huron Country Playhouse. The members voted on the girl of the year, but the results will not be announced until the Founder's Day ball in April. Mary Allison and Diane Jeffery led the program, which was entitled, "Music's effect on our lives". They listened to a variety of music and saw a film. Then Mrs. Allison conducted a quiz identifying old song titles. It was won by Sharon O'Toole.
