any indication of what is yet to
come.
In Strathroy Saturday af-
ternoon, in their first starts of the
• new season, the two Panther
teams cam away with victories
in. games which were played
under two different sets of rules.
One-half of each contest was
played under current Canadian
playing conditions of the Huron-
Perth Conference and the other
half went with American rules in
effect.
The South Huron juniors gained
a decisive 35-8 win over Strathroy
in the opentfig game while the
senior boys edged their Strathroy
opponents by a score of 19-16.
The opening games of the H-P
Conference regular schedule will
be played at the South Huron field
this afternoon, Thursday with
Stratford Northwestern teams

for Huron County Children's Aid.
Mrs. B. Shapton thanked the
speaker and the program was
closed by singing 'The more we
get together.' Lunch was served
by the October program com-
mittee.

Panthers gained a point on the

booted the ball deep into the end
zone and the Strathroy runners
were unable to bring the ball out,
A pass interception by Larry
Johns in the third period set up
the final South Huron six-pointer.
On the next play, Wilson hit tight
end Tim Ross with a 33-yard
pass. Wilson booted the convert
to bring the Panther point total to
35.

Mrs. Frank Dobbs reported
that her Committee will be doing
Lung Function tests throughout
the duration of the Plowing
Match and that 2500 tests had
been processed in a recent
Industrial Survey in Perth

Huron County and a Medical
Advisor for the Association has
lined up a similar programme in
Huron County to take place in the
near future. -
Rev. G. Smith reported that
Adult Breathing and Asthmatic
Conditioning Courses' for
Children would reconvene on
Monday, October 2, 1972 in the
Red Cross Rooms, Stratford.
