Caven Presbyterian Church
was the setting for the wedding of
Cheryl Denise Ford and James
Wayne Hayter, August 26, 1972.
Rev. Jarvis conducted the
service, with music provided by
Joanne Hayter and Marlene
Rader as the soloist.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor-
length A-line gown of cashmere
crepe. The Juliette sleeves were
of French lace, and the headpiece
was of the same material, with a
four-tier train. She carried a
nosegay of daisies, pink
sweetheart roses and baby's
breath.
The maid of honor was Glenda
Fisher, Exeter, and Jane
Broderick, Exeter and Mary Ann
Desjardine, Guelph, were the
bridesmaids.
The attendants were dressed in
floor-length gowns of navy with
pink and white flowers, elastic
smocked bodice, long, full
sleeves and ruffled hem lines.
They also wore white picture hats
trimmed with mint green ribbon
and carried nosegays of daisies,
white carnations and baby's
breath.
They were dressed alike in

James Hoffman, Dashwood
was the best man, and ushers

ding trip to Northern Ontario.
The bride's travelling outfit was
a white tailored pant suit trim-
med with navy, and with navy
and red accessories.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold Ford, Exeter,
and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Hayter,
Goderich.
Prior to the wedding, thebride
was honored at showers given by
the sister and aunts of the groom
at Dashwood Community Centre;
by Mrs. Betty Kirk, Mrs. Jane
Kirk and Mrs. Doreen Kirk at the
Exeter Legion; and by Glerfda
Fisher and Jane Broderick at
Grand Bend.
The couple will live in
Goderich.

Lodge given
service award
Pride of Huron Rebekah Lodge
No. 338, I.O.O.F., Exeter com-
menced the fall season with a pot
luck supper in the lodge rooms.
The meeting opened with the
Noble Grand Loretta Ball in the
chair. Enjoyable comments were
heard regarding the picnic in
July at Centralia Community
Park. The Braemor Home folk
had been given a picnic and a
drive to Grand Bend which was
much enjoyed.
JPNG Gladys Skinner and N
G Loretta Ball requested the help
of all members in making the
booth at the Exeter Fair a suc-
cess again this year.
JPNG Gladys Skinner read the
wording on a plaque awarded to
lodge; a certificate of ap-
preciation from the Exeter
Hospital Bed and CP&T Com-
mittee. The third highest degree
award read: "for outstanding
service in relieving distress in
this community over a long
period of time.", signed by
Robert K. Williamson, Central
Chairman.
Sister Carrington was
welcomed to the meeting. NG
Ball said Sister Audrey
MacGregor had escorted her
husband when he became
Warden of Grand Encampment
of Ontario.
Vice Grand Vi Coates gave her
report of sick and shutins. Sister
V. Williams arid husband
celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary recently.
The report of the District
-Deputy President, Sister Ruby
Bell, was read, giving an account
of her year's work, Graves
were decorated at the Exeter
Cemetery for Decoration Day.
Three members had birthdays
and were accorded the singing of
"Happy Birthday." Following
the meeting tarts and tea were
served.

waistline and sheer sleeves. The
bridesmaids wore green flowered
chiffon gowns with blue un-

with green trim at the empire

cascades of greens and fuji
mums with trailing ivy.
Richard Westcott was the best
man, and Paul Coates and Roy
Rader were ushers.
Following a reception at Dash-
wood Community Centre, the
couple left for a wedding trip to
the Eastern States. The bride's
travelling outfit was a long blue
flowered skirt with white sweater
top and blue suede accessories.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Alvin Rader, Exeter,
and the groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harvey Coates, Exeter.
The couple will reside in
