steering, windows, seats —
continue to gain in popularity.

air-cooled engine CAN
overheat, possibly because of
'a slippery fan belt or an over-
lean carburetor mixture.

Many people don't realize that
automobile air conditioning
affects their gas mileage a bit,
since the unit is driven by the
engine.

Alf Smith, drummer, was with
the London Police Pipe Band at
the Scottish World Festival,
C.N E., Sunday. To witness the
colour and pageantry, to be one of
the 2,500 band members present,
to sense the enthusiastic response
of a crowd of approximately

experience.
The London Band placed
second in its class, coming behind
the winning band by only 41/2
points. Hearts were stirred when
four pipers from a Scottish band
and the brass band of the Scotch
Guard played Amazing Grace.
Alf said, "When I was a boy my
mother used to take me to C.N.E.
Little did I think I'd one day
perform in front of the grand-
stand!"
