The •Crediton bantams downed
Dashwood in two straight games
to take the local group cham-
pionship and the Western Ontario
Athletic Association title as well,
The score of the first game
played in Dashwood was 9 - 2
while the final contest in Crediton
was a close one with the home
eking out a 5 - 4 decision.
A single run in the Crediton
sixth after a four run uprising in
the fifth frame provided the
Crediton club with the victory.
Dashwood counted a single run
in the first frame, added a pair of
scores in the second and came
close to tying the count with a
single run in the top of the final
inning.
Howard Schenk doubled and
scored what proved to be the
winning run in the eighth. In the
Credtion fifth, Mike Desjardine
was safe on an error, Matthew
Muller walked and both rode
home on Larry Clarke's home
run. Paul Shapton, next at the
plate, was hit by a pitch and
scored as the result of a single
from the bat of Ron Smith.
Doug Mclsaac singled to open
the game for Dashwood and
scored on consecutive singles by
Tom Hayter and Mark Chandler.
In the second, Wayne Riddell
walked, Robert Guenther drew a
walk and both crossed the plate
as Ron Anderson punched out a
single.
The final Dashwood marker in
the seventh was accomplished as
Doug Mclsaac was safe on an
error and counted on Tom
Hayter's second single of the
game.

pitcher with Doug Mclsaac
taking the losss.

run in the second after singling
and drove in Dale Dinney, Ron
Smith and Matt Muller with a
double in the third frame.
Ron Smith's single was
responsible for two Crediton runs
in the sixth and Muller's single
and Clarke's triple produced the
final three runs for the winners in

Dashwood runs came in the
fourth with singles by Ron
