Brenda Gardiner returned with her sister for a few holidays, Mrs. Grace Scott, Mr. & Mrs. John 'Wallace and Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Russell were guests at the marriage of Karen Scott and Brian McDonald both of Seaforth, which took place in First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth on Saturday evening. Many cousins and other friends from Last Sunday evening, the family of Mrs. George Lawson entertained her to a family dinner at the Dashwood Hotel to celebrate her 90th birthday. A misellaneous shower for Joanne Templeman, bride-elect of September 2 was held in Cromarty Church Sunday School room, Friday evening. The introduction of MULTI-YEAR automobile licence plates next year will now give every owner of a passenger car or station wagon the opportunity of choosing his or her own combination of three letters and three numbers on the payment of an extra fee of $25.00. All these licence plates will remain in use for at least three years. They will be issued in the series from AAA 001 to 2L2, 999. However, some letters and combinations will not be available. The letters G, I, and Q are excluded because of possible confusion with other letters or numbers. Objectionable letter combinations are excluded. Letter groups reserved for government use include 0 NT for Ontario Cabinet Ministers, MPP for Members of the Provincial Parliament, while the series M DA to MDZ is reserved for doctors, Other groups are reserved for various other uses. Re-issue of plates during the multi-year period "Own Choice" plates when lost or damaged may be replaced with plates bearing the same number or they may be re-issued to another vehicle owned by the holder of Own Choice plates, for a service fee of $3.00 in addition to any other registration fee payable. T-A photo Cromarty couple attends family reunion in Lindsay Crediton club moves ahead The •Crediton bantams downed Dashwood in two straight games to take the local group cham- pionship and the Western Ontario Athletic Association title as well, The score of the first game played in Dashwood was 9 - 2 while the final contest in Crediton was a close one with the home eking out a 5 - 4 decision. A single run in the Crediton sixth after a four run uprising in the fifth frame provided the Crediton club with the victory. Dashwood counted a single run in the first frame, added a pair of scores in the second and came close to tying the count with a single run in the top of the final inning. Howard Schenk doubled and scored what proved to be the winning run in the eighth. In the Credtion fifth, Mike Desjardine was safe on an error, Matthew Muller walked and both rode home on Larry Clarke's home run. Paul Shapton, next at the plate, was hit by a pitch and scored as the result of a single from the bat of Ron Smith. Doug Mclsaac singled to open the game for Dashwood and scored on consecutive singles by Tom Hayter and Mark Chandler. In the second, Wayne Riddell walked, Robert Guenther drew a walk and both crossed the plate as Ron Anderson punched out a single. The final Dashwood marker in the seventh was accomplished as Doug Mclsaac was safe on an error and counted on Tom Hayter's second single of the game. Larry Clarke was the winning pitcher with Doug Mclsaac taking the losss. Clarke Leads Hitters Larry Clarke with three hits in four appearances at the plate led the Crediton hitters in theopening 9 - 2 win over Dashwood. Clarke scored the first Crediton run in the second after singling and drove in Dale Dinney, Ron Smith and Matt Muller with a double in the third frame. Ron Smith's single was responsible for two Crediton runs in the sixth and Muller's single and Clarke's triple produced the final three runs for the winners in the sixth, The power to produce the two Dashwood runs came in the fourth with singles by Ron Anderson, Tom Hayter and Mark Chandler, 5.-1..
