HAVE A PLEASANT
TRIP
Many a vacation has been ruined by an
ailment that is most common to tourists—diar-
rhea. In a great many cases, diarrhea can be
brought on by excitement, tension or fatigue of
the vacation and usually it will disappear after
a day or two.
One way to possibly avoid this unpleasant-
ness is to follow some common sense rules--
don't wait until the last minute to get ready,
don't drive too far each day, stop and stretch
your legs and don't over-eat while traveling. It
might also be a good idea to stop by and let us
recommend something to take along in case the
problem comes up despite your efforts to avoid
it.

The Ilurot Country Playhouse
observed its official grand
opening last night, with the first
performance of a suspense
thriller, "Dial M for Murder."
The Playhouse has been at-
tracting steadily increasing
audiences, and the ceremonies
last night were very well at-
tended. Following the per-
formance, Huron MP Hobert
McKinley took part in a brief
ceremony, to mark the official
opening.
Distinguished personalities will
be on hand for performances
throughout the remainder of the
week, including Minister of
Agriculture William Stewart and
Huron's M P P Charles
McNaughton.
Also this week, the Playhouse
will have its first chartered
busload — this one corning from
Goderich to see a theatre per-
formance.,
Playing in this production are
Christopher Golding as Tony, the
ex-tennis champ who plots the
perfect murder, and Nancy
Gufstayson, as his wife who foils
the perfect murder plot, It offers
exciting entertainment for the
entire family,
In addition to the regular roster
of performances, members of the
company have been busy with
several other activities, Last
Saturday, they did a production
of Sleeping Beauty to an almost
capacity crowd of delighted
children, and a surprising
number of adults, Joan Hanna,
who played the wicked "Purple
Witch," was particularly eye-
catching with her purple robes
and green hands and face,

performance Was so successful
that the company hopes to repeat
it, perhaps September 2.
Last week, the Playhouse held
a meeting and reception of the
Board of Trustees at the Oak-
wood Inn. James Murphy,
Playhouse director, said that
generally, the Board's attitude
was enthusiastic for the result of
the theatrical venture.
They have set up a special
finance committee to launch a
sizable fund-raising campaign.
Mr. Murphy said this will involve
appeals to industry, private and
public foundations and personal
contributions.
"The goal is definitely to get us
into the barn next year," he said.
Plans are almost completed for
a benefit performance to be
presented at the Playhouse. This
will hopefully take place August
30, 1972, the opening night of the
final play, "Dirty Work at the
Crossroads" and will be spon-
sored by the Association for the
Mentally Retarded.
This should be an especially
interesting play because local
residents will be members of the
cast. Auditions will be held this
Saturday for a variety of roles in
the old-fashioned melodrama.
Mr. Murphy said he has had a
"surprisingly good response"
already, in the quest for local
talent.
In Ontario, it is the law for a
funeral director to show at least
eight caskets. However, it is
unusual for the lowest-priced
caskets to be shown, as they are
often kept in a separate room,
and anyone wishing to see them
may need to make a specific
request,
