Elmer Bell of Exeter was the guest speaker. He reminded those present not to forget the deceased for their contribution to the building of our country. Mrs. R, Hoffman and Harry Hoffman led the singing. A solo and two duets were rendered and enjoyed during the service. Rev. Dobson led in prayer and closed with the benediction. Bicycle Rodeo The Grand Bend Cub pack held a bicycle rodeo last Wednesday, supervised by the O.P.P. for the condition and safety of the, rider. W. I. The Women's Institute enjoyed a dinner meeting for their June get together at Gallant's restaurant, Mrs. Ed Gill convened a brief business period following the dinner. She announced the area convention in the fall to be held at the "Banqueter" London. Mrs. Gill also promoted some ideas for in between regular meetings: to entertain 4-H girls and mothers to a pot luck dinner; hair styling demonstration; euchre party; a morning meeting followed by lunch and an early adjournment; a bus trip; •en- tertain other W.I. branches. The remainder of the evening was spent playing "bunco". Mrs. H. Pfile and Mrs. Les Adams were winners. Mrs. Leroy Bariteau conducted a contest and entertained with some riddles. A prize was given to the youngest member present Mrs. Carmen Lovie. Mrs. Don Hen- drick won a prize for having a birthday nearest the supper date. Mrs. E, G, Brown of London a visitor won a prize for sitting on the lucky chair, Personals Mrs. Norman Turnbull is a patient in Exeter hospital. The United Church Sunday school picnicwas held last Wed- nesday. After enjoying hot dogs and pop, the children par- ticipated in races ending the picnic with a sing song. Mrs. Agnes Martin and Nettie Gardiner of Windsor spent the weekend at Huron Vista. Mr. & Mrs. Karl Okmayer have returned from a month vacation touring Europe, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Vice- president Wayne Weiberg welcomed everyone and Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd Rader, Dorchester conducted the sports. Race winners were Keith Rader, Barbara Rader, Carol Rader, Carol Trapp, and. Wayne Weiberg; wheelbarrow race - Beth McGregor and Jayne Hayter; tie aprons - Ray and Isabelle Rader; pop drink - Sharon Rader and Ray Taylor; judge length of line - Sharon Rader and Ray Taylor; balloon race, Carol Trapp. Several other games were also played. Special prizes awarded were: oldest person, Mrs. Adeline Kraft; youngest person, Julianne Rader; most recently married, Mr. & Mrs, Lorne Klopp;, coming the farthest, Mrs. Ken LaButte; largest family present, Mrs. Hilda Rader; mystery prize, Garnet Weiberg. The next reunion will be held in 1974 with the following officers in charge: president, Wayne Weiberg; vice-president, Ray Rader; secretary, Mrs, Bill Wagner, treasurer, Irvin Rader; sports committee, The Ivan Taylor family; table committee, Mr, & Mrs. Ted Steinbach. Ladies Aid Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid held their last meeting for the sum- mer months June 14 with Group I in charge of Devotions and lunch. Jayne Hayter played several piano selections. Mrs. Rosaleen Schenk dealt with the topic"Equipping Women for Service," followed by discussion.
