Selfishness and self-seeking
replaces love, he said. We must
learn that when we lose the
courage to love we do so at our
own peril. We must try to over-
come the barriers that separate
us from others. God has given us
the task of making the world a
brotherhood by building up
friendship rather than tearing
them down.
He concluded by saying that
Christianity is not a way out of
trouble but helps us to meet and
deal with it. The Spiorit of Love
can bring peace to the world in
which we live.

returned to Centralia to be guest
speaker for the Sunday School
Anniversary in the United
Church. Sunday morning with a
large congregation attending the
service.
"The Power To Love" was the
subject chosen by Rev. Guest.
Jesus in his teachings so filled the
people of his day with hope that
their hearts were lifted up. He
had the courage to love when hate
was all around Him, It takes
courage to discover and use "The
