United Church
The worship service at Lucan
United Church was taken by Rev.
W. C. Tupling. For his sermon he
chose "How do you read your
Bible"?
He said the urgent question for
our day is not "Do you read your
Bible?", but "how do you read?"
The Bible is a runaway best
seller, outselling every other
book; it is quoted by politicians,
T.V. personalities and sports-
men.
Is this the true word of God, or
are they only our words? He
pointed out that there are hun-
dreds of conflicting
denominations, and each one can
justify its own position from the
Bible?
It is conceivable, he concluded,
that they are all wrong, and each
is just using their own ideas of
what must be.
