without one ember , dropping on
the rug. A single candle was lit
from them. The bride and groom
• faced each other, eye to eye, and
made their personal oaths (not
repeating something after a
minister). They had kept secret
from each other what they were
going to say.
Shelby kissed the rings, put
them on the appropriate fingers.
The couple kissed, Four beautiful
nieces each brought one white
rose to the bride. And it was over.
I think it was simple, spiritual
and joyous. If I ever get married
again, God forbid, I'M going to
have a Baha'i ceremony.
I think my daughter said
goodbye. I remember a kiss on
the cheek, a deft hand extracting
from my pocket the promised
cheque, and my son-in-law going
down to the basement to pick up
the double sleeping-bag I'd
bought in case nobody else did.
• Now, how about some grand-
children.

catob his wife and he jumped in
the back between two drunks
with their feet stuck out the
window. They were soon roaring
down the road at dizzying, speeds
and it wasn't long before they
attracted the attention of a state
trooper.
After stopping the car, the
police accepted the victim's
explanation of the situation and
he was soon in the cruiser
chasing his wife.
Imagine her chagrin to be
pulled over to the curb by the
officers and her surprise when
her nearly nude husband crawled
out of the cruiser.
Another minor crisis developed
when they stopped to eat. His
zipper on his pants wasn't zipped
and in attempting to rectify that
situation, he caught the corner of
the red tablecloth as he gave the
zipper a quick pull,
The waitress was apprised of
the problem and secured a pair of
scissors to free him but left a
length of red tablecloth in his
possession, dangling in the zip..
per.
He and his wife quickly left the
restaurant and were driving
silently along when the missus
noticed they were going north,
not south.
She didn't say a word!
While that all appears too much
to happen to one fellow in such
short time, we would advise
anyone heading out in campers to
make certain their doors are
secure if they plan to disrobe and
catch a few winks.
A civilized country is one where
a person must go to a backward
area in order to breathe pure,
clean air.

Day of Pentecost
is celebrated
Pentecost was celebrated
Sunday with appropriate
congressional hymns and a
sermon from the book of Acts by
Rev. Rees,
He pointed out that although
the Holy Spirit had been in the
world since the beginning, it was
not until the day of Pentecost that
the disciples were filled with the
Spirit and spoke with other
tongues; that the particular
ministry with the Holy Spirit
began. The Holy Spirit is the
Christians' comforter, teacher
and guide.
The Sunday evening sermon,
also taken from the book of Acts,
was entitled "The Vision of the
Holy Spirit".
Special music in service was
provided by the youth chorus
with Mrs. John Armitage and
Robert Holland,
