Hall Tuesday evening to bid
farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Nelson
Lamport who have sold their
farm and are leaving the com-
munity,
Harvey Smith was chairman
for the program. There was a
singsong and Mrs. Dave McClure
conducted a contest. Bill Muller
read the address and presented a
gift to the guests of honour.
Mr. & Mrs. Larry Jones, who
bought the Lamport farm, were
also present.

CENTRALIA
A combined service for the
Centralia and Zion West
congregations was held in the
United Church, Sunday morning.
Special speakers at the service
were Mrs. Mitchell, a social
worker with the Family and
Children's Services in London,
and Mr. & Mrs. White, foster
parents, also of London.
Mr. & Mrs. White have been
caring for children in their home
for the past six years and at the
present time have 9 foster
children.
Centralia United Church
women sponsored a successful
"Luncheon is Served" party in
the schoolroom of the United
Church on Monday evening.
Euchre party
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Noels and
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Neil con-
vened the last euchre party for
the season in the Community
Centre, Monday night.
Prize winners were ladies' high
score, Mrs. Crown; ladies' lone
hands, Mrs. Earl Dixon; ladies
low score, Mrs. Marion Deline.

visitors. Mrs. Ed Hendrick
reported that 19,789 stamps had
been collected for the Leprosy
Mission.
Mrs. Preszcator gave a report
for the manse committee,
outlining .long-range plans. Mrs.
Ross Krueger and Mrs. Cliff
Russell were added to the
committee.
Mrs. William Schwartz
reported on the meeting with the
Greenway UCW.
Hostesses were Mrs. Robert
Bushfield, Mrs. Gordon Ratz,
Mrs. Cliff Russell and Mrs.
Gordon Finkbeiner.
Eleven members of the local
UCW attended the spring tea and
bake sale at Greenway United
Church last Wednesday.

returned home after a visit of

occasion of her birthday. Among

Ilderton, Barry Morlock and
Christine Cameron, London.
Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Morlock
have returned from a two week
bus tour to Florida. While in
Florida they visited Daytona
Beach, Disney World, Busch and
Cypress Gardens, St. Augustine,
the Gold Coast and Key West. On
the return journey they spent a
day in Washington, visiting the
Whitehouse, the Jefferson and
Lincoln Memorials and John
Kennedy's grave,
Crediton and District Men's
Social Club have received $35.43
from the former president of
Teen Town, Mrs. Margaret
Gould. If Teen Town is reac-

that venture.
