The afternoon unit of the
United Church women held their
Easter meeting Thursday, Mrs.
Josie Love presiding in the ab-
sence of the president Mrs. W.
Baker.
The worship was conducted by
Mrs. Emery Desjardine, her
topic was "Faith,"
The roll call was answered with
an Easter thought or Verse.
A Bible quiz led by Mrs.
Desjardine proved interesting
and took the place of the Study
book.
The ladies are busy collecting
articles for Pakistan. This has
been a project since last fall,

word of the sudden death of her
brother, Jim Burt of Mindemoya,
Manitoulin Island, Mrs. Turnbull,
has just returned home having
attended the funeral.
Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Lee visited
on the weekend, with their son and
family in Detroit.
Mrs, Louise Wilson returned to.
her home last Saturday from a
three week vacation in Ottawa.
