hosted a pre-Christmas dinner
for his family in the Crediton
Community Centre. It was the
first time the entire family had
been together since Christmas,
1959.
A total of 96 people attended
including eight children, 35 grand
children, 26 great-grandchildren
and the wives and husbands of
family members.
After dinner, the afternoon was
spent in the family's favourite
tradition of music, song and
laughter.

the same blue in their hair.

After the wedding a reception
and dance was held at the
Valhalla Inn, Islington. Keith
Hodgins of Byron was master of
ceremonies.
For the wedding trip, a
Caribbean Cruise, the bride
chose a double knit dress in
American beauty shade with
matching tweed coat and black
accessories.
Out of town guests were from
Montreal, Ottawa, Bramalea,
Petawawa, Hamilton, Waterloo,
London, Byron, Orillia, Shipka,
Grand Bend, Lambeth and
Exeter.
Mr. and Mrs. Sharpe will reside
in Toronto.

Before an altar decorated with
bronze and gold chrysan-
themums, Rev. C. A. Brittain of
Orillia officiated for the double-
ring ceremony, Wedding music
was supplied by the organist W.
Wright, who also accompanied
the soloist Eleanor Sharpe, sister
of the groom.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a gown of
ivory silk velvet, The dress was
high-lighted by appliqued Italian
lace on the bodice. Her head-
piece, in the form of a kerchief,
was fashioned of the same lace.
She carried a cascade bouquet of
deep gold and bronze chrysan-
themums.

The merchants say there's a
new white-on-white shirt coming
on the market next spring. It
won't be the plain white of the
past but a textured, pattern shirt
that stylists predict will come on
strong.
