IN MEMORIAM —
BELL — In loving memory of a
dear husband and father,
Harold C. Bell who passed
away two years ago on August
4,1969.
We cannot keep from wondering,
No matter how we try,
And in our sad and troubled
hearts
We keep on asking why,
The reason's hidden somewhere,
In the pattern God has planned,
We must believe and trust Him,
And some day we'll understand.
— Sadly missed by his wife Edith
and daughter Sylvia. 30*
BELL — In loving memory of a
dear father and grandfather
who was taken from us so
suddenly two years ago,
August 4,1969.
So many things have happened
Since you were called away,
So many, many things to share
with you
Had you been left to stay.
To your resting place we visit
We place your flowers with care
But no one knows the heartache
When we turn and leave you
there.
— Always remembered'and sadly
missed by his family, Don,
Shirley and Ron, Pat and Ken,
Betty and Bob, and ten
grandchildren. 30*
DAVIS — In loving memory of a
dear husband, father and
grandfather, George Davis
who passed away suddenly
five years ago August 7 , 1966.
We little knew as we woke that
morn,
The sorrow the day would bring;
The call was sudden, the shock
severe,
To part with one we loved so
dear.
But God gave us courage to bear
the blow,
But what it meant to lose him;
No one will ever know.
— Always lovingly remembered
by wife Agnes and family. 30*
SWARTZ — In loving memory of
a dear wife, mother and
grandmother Lulu Mae
Swartz, who passed away
seven years ago July 27, 1964.
A smile we will always remember,
A voice we will always recall;
A memory we 'will cherish
forever,
Of a wife and mother, loved by
all.
— Lovingly remembered by
Harry, Ron, Helen and
granddaughters. 30*
IN MEMORIAM —
DESJARDINE In fond and
loving memory of a dear
husband, father and
grandfather who passed away
two years ago August 14,
1969.
Somewhere beyond the sunset,
Where loneliness never dies,
He dwells in a beautiful garden,
Beneath God's heavenly skies.
May the winds of Heaven blow
softly
On that sweet and sacred spot
Where the one we love is sleeping
And will never be forgot.
A tribute of loss and
remembrance
To a husband who was one of the
best
May the joy that he missed on
life's journey
Be found in God's garden of rest.
— Lovingly remembered by his
wife Ella and family. 30*
ETHE R I NGTON — In loving
memory of Albert W.
Etherington who passed away
one year ago August 10,1970.
God saw you getting weaker
So he did what he thought best;
He came and stood beside you
And whispered "Come to rest"
You wished no one a sad farewell
Nor even said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why,
— Lovingly remembered by wife
and family. 30c
FISCHER — In loving memory of
a dear husband John Christian
Fischer, who left us seven
years ago August 1, 1964 and
two sons, Alvin John who
passed away five years ago,
July 1, 1966 and Kennon
Christian who passed away
five years ago December 20,
1966.
Dear Pop, Alvin and Kennon
They say time heals all sorrow
And helps us to forget
But seven years, have only proved
How much we miss you yet.
You never said goodbye to us
Perhaps it's just as well
We never, could have said
goodbye
To the three, we loved so well.
There is no parting from ones we
love
No distance can divide
For each day in memory's garden
We'll always walk side by side.
— Sadly missed by your wife
Katherine, daughters, sons and
grandchildren. 30c
OESTREICHER — In loving
memory of a dear wife and
mother, Glenna, who passed
away one year ago, July 28,
1970.
From our happy home and circle,
God has taken one we love,
Borne away from sin and sorrow
To a better home above.
— Missed by Carl, Dean and
Myron. 30c

The Grand Bend Medical
Centre officially opened its doors
for business Friday of last week
with Dr. Sean Trapp and Dr,
Liam O'Connor in charge.
The two 26 year-old doctors
arrived from Ireland a little more
than two weeks ago and will be on
call 24 hours per day,
Dr. O'Connor told the T-A
Tuesday morning "we will be
alternating on evenings and
weekends but for the big Civic
Holiday weekend coming up we
will both be working."
Until an answering service is
arranged, a notice will be at-
tached to the front door of the
medical centre giving in-
formation as to the means of
contacting the doctors.
At the moment Dr. O'Connor
and his wife Dorothy and 17
month old son Jonathan are
' staying at the home of Medical
Centre committee chairman Bill
• Sturdevant while Dr. Trapp, a
bachelor is residing with
secretary Jack Mennell.
Chairman Sturdevant said
everything seems to be under
control for the official opening of
the Centre scheduled for Sunday
August 8 at 2:30 p.m.
Invitations are being sent to the
four area Members of
Parliament, R. E. McKinley and
Charles MacNaughton for Huron
and James Lind and Lorne
Henderson for Lambton along
with all persons that made

..,,..,,,,Donations may still be sent to
the secretary Jack Mennell at the
Chamber of Commerce office at
Grand Bend.
Plans are underway to bring a
dentist to the Bend to complete
the program started several
years ago.
Dr. O'Connor said the facilities
at the Centre are excellent. At the
moment, secretarial needs of the
doctors are being taken care of
by a volunteer, Mrs. Gary
Brenner.
The doctors indicated the only
problem they have encountered
in Grand Bend to date is in fin-
ding satisfactory housing ac-
commodation.
Dr. Trapp is looking for an
apartment or small house while

The Irish doctors first heard
about the opportunities in Grand
Bend when Dr. Copeman of the
Ontario Health Services placed
an ad in a British medical journal
They met Dr. Copeman in
London, England in November
and eventually it was by mutual
agreement that Drs. O'Connor
and Trapp came to Grand Bend.
They selected Grand Bend as
their first choice and at the same
time the Grand Bend committee
decided they wanted the Irish
pair.
Drs. O'Connor and Trapp had
worked together in an Irish
hospital for about three months
before they applied for the
Canadian positions.
