Saturday, the Exeter Kinsmen sponsored Mid-Western Quarter horse show drew a record 329 entries. Sunday it was the Exeter saddle club's Appaloosa and Pinto show with another large list of entries and several winners from the district. The weatherman co-operated both days affording warm temperatures and the only problems confronting officials was dust being stirred up by the horses in the ring. Quarter horse Secretary Noel Veri reports the record number of entries in Saturday's quarter horse show gained an "A" rating for the third time in four years. The grand champion mare was Chatequay owned by Mrs. Robert Tweed of Waterloo while the grand champion stallion was Majestic Prince owned by George and Bev. Zinkil of Stevensville, Michigan. The grand champion gelding was Pearl's Pokey from the Gerald Greer barn of Midland, Michigan. The all-round youth award went to Tom Shearer of Masillion, Michigan. Manager of the show was Don Nye of Hamilton, Vernon Schultz of Dearfield, Illinios was the judge and Exeter's Fred Darling handled the announcing duties. Honda Mini-Trail S.
