Fishing trip
is successful
Four Exeter men returned last
week from a bountiful fishing
trip to Northern Ontario.
Jack Fuller, Tom Arthur,
Dwayne Tinney and Laverne
McCarter came back with their
limit of 12 lake trout and 24 pike.
The foursome drove to Sudbury
and flew 38 miles north by Austin
Airways to a camp at Lake
Chiniguchi. From the camp they
were only a short distance from
three lakes that specialized in one
type of fish.
One of the four, Jack Fuller
said "we didn't have to want for
fish. We could land a pike every
15 or 20 minutes in Lake Alex."
Lake Red Pine provided the
Exeter anglers with their limit of
speckled trout while in another
lake it was strictly lake trout.
In their first four hours of
fishing for lake trout they were
able to land their limit, They
reported very little problems
with black flies, saying it was a
bit early for trouble makers.
