The children are receiving so much pleasure from them and can hardly wait to use them each day. Please convey to the members of legion 540 the thanks of the children and teachers here at Huron Hope School. I am enclosing a couple of snapshots which you may wish to post on your bulletin board along with this letter as a sign of our appreciation. Sincerely, (Mrs.) Eleanor Scott, B.A. Principal. And a very special Thank You to all the • lovely people who responded to our plea, donated bicycle parts and assisted in any way in making this a successful project. Thank you for your support and assistance to Branch 540's youth programs. The following named are the winners who split the grand prize: A Morley, Lucan; J. Attrill, London; S. Sceli, Gran- ton; F. DuBerry, Huron Park. Don't forget, Comrades, branch meetings recess during the months of July and August. Therefore your next meeting called for June 9 will be the last until the fall. Do your best to attend. There are several im- portant issues to be resolved prior to the recess. See you there. However, just because meetings recess during the summer months, this doesn't mean the branch closes down - No way, Comrades. There will be plenty of action in the Sea, Land and Air lounge.. By the way, Comrades, the piano in the Sea, Land and Air lounge has finally tit the dust' and we are getting a little (ahem) too old to be lugging the upstairs piano up and down stairs as it is required - besides this is hard on the instrument and every time it is moved it should be re-tuned. Therefore, we are in the market for a used piano for the Sea, Land and Air lounge at a "reasonable" cost, If you know of such a piano, please give Smilin' Carl a call at 227-4751. Smilin' Carl advises Saturday will see the last entertainment for this season. The Country Tones will be in the lounge to entertain you. However, for entertainment during the sum- mer months we have the Hi-Fi and if we manage to locate a piano, there are many of our comrades and friends who can tickle the ivories.
