Wednesday afternoon. The

entertained the residents on
Family Night with the President

11/2 large potatoes
1/2 small onion Lazy Mary Fudge
1 egg 5 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup sifted all purpose flour 1/2 cup boiling water
3/8 tsp. salt 1/2 cup mashed potato flakes
dash pepper 1 tsp. vanilla extract
shortening for frying. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Grate the potatoes and onion. 21/2 cups icing sugar
Mix. Add the unbeaten egg, stir 5 squares unsweetened chocolate,
until blended. Add flour, salt and melted

The bride is the daughter of

Woodham, and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Emerson
Anderson, Hensall.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white and
silver brocade dress with empire
waist. The ensemble was
completed by a shoulder length
veil. She carried a nosegay of
yellow roses and daisies with
white velvet streamers.
Elaine Randall was maid of
honor and Marilyn Whitney was
bridesmaid. They wore turquoise
dresses similar to the bride's, and
carried nosegays of yellow
daisies.
Grant Jones, Hensall, was best
man and Ron Anderson, Exeter,
brother of the groom was usher.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held at the home of
the bride's parents.
For travelling the bride wore a
green pant suit with yellow rose
corsage.
The couple will reside in
Exeter.
The choir of St. James
(Westminster) Anglican Church,
London, will sing Evensong in
Trivitt Memorial Church, March
14, at 7:00 p.m. The choir will
be in charge of Mr. Gordon
Atkinson, organist at St. James.
Canon D. D. Jones, Rector of St.
James, will take part in the
service, together with the Rev.
George Anderson, Rector of
Trivitt Memorial. Canon Jones is
a member of the committee
which produced the new
Anglican-United Church Hymn
Book, and is the son of the late
Rev, Walter Jones, Rector of
Trivitt from 1927 to 1929.
Mrs. Laura Wilson,
Hollywood, California is visiting
in town with relatives and
friends.

wed at Fort Erie
Paulette Wassman, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Carman Wassman,
Fort Erie, was united in marriage
to Larry Taylor, son of Mrs. Nola
Taylor, RR 1 Grand Bend, at
Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort
Erie, with Rev. L. Eberhardt
officiating.
Given in marriage by her
father the bride wore a full-length
gown of snow white cut velvet
which featured princess styling, a
modified mandarin collar and full
sleeves gathered into buttoned
cuffs. A four-tiered illusion veil
fell from a velvet wedding ring
headpiece, scalloped with tiny
seed pearls, and fell into a chapel
train. She carried a muff of white
glads and mums with a spray of
yellow rose buds.
Liz Pearce was the maid of
honor; Brenda Taylor, the
bridesmaid, while Tracie and
Terry Wilson acted as junior
bridesmaids. The attendants all
wore princess gowns with
mandarin collars and short puff
sleeves. They carried white fox
muffs decorated with
arrangements of baby's breath,
heather and mums, and wore
headpieces of tiny rings of fur.
Attending the groom were
Brian Carey as best man, and Paul
Wassman as escort.
Tom Wilson and Wayne Woods
ushered the guests.
The wedding dinner was held
ln,the Fort Erie Fire Hall, Co. No.
1, with a dance following.
The couple honeymooned in
Northern Ontario before taking
up residence in their new home in
Grand Bend.
