period in which snOw-clearing
operation is necessarY.

the vehicle being towed away
at the owner's expense.

ice out of private driveways

church service, Sunday morning.
Carolyn Kellett gave the Call to
Worship, Janice Stewart gave the
Invocation. Ronnie Stewart led
in prayer. Dale Passmore and
Bradley Johns took up the
offering.
The sermon "The Generation
Gap" and the Scripture lessons
were given by Sandra Stewart,
Janice Stewart, Robbie Stewart,
Barbara Miller, Brian Mayer,
Janice Alexander, Carolyn
Glanville, Valerie Glanville,
Sylvia Stewart and Ronnie
Stewart; Agnes Bray was the
organist and Janet Bray was the
pianist for the service.
The young people sang a
number "Did You Stop to
Pray." Rev. Stewart Miner
closed the service.

The Historical Research and
Current Events group with Mrs.
Mervyn Tieman convener was in
charge of the January meeting of
Dashwood W.I. Special guests
were the 4-H girls, 24, and their
mothers but only two were
present. Clida no. 1, Dashwood
Jolly Joggers presented a skit;
"What to do in Leisure Time'
and club 2, Leisure Ladies, a
commentary "Safety in the
Home" by Marjory Schenk.
Nancy Braid, Kathy
Ducharme, Teresa Holubowicz,
and Patricia Bender received cup
and saucer gifts from the W.I.
for completing six projects.
Norma Weigand, a tea pot for
completing eighteen projects.
The leaders, Mrs. Gordon
Bender, Mrs. Howard Deters,
Mrs. Earl Keller and Cora Van
Raay also received gifts for their
leadership. First aid kits, stuffed
toys, mobiles, and record books
were on display.
The new project, "Separates
for Summer" was discussed and
leaders for three groups were
still undecided on.
Mrs. Tieman was chairlady
for the program. Roll call was
Did you Hear? answered by a
current event. Mrs. Stuart Wolfe
discussed the motto; Don't let
yesterday take up too much of
today. Mrs. Howard Datars gave
a reading.
Mrs. Irvin Rader had the
Tweedsmuir History book on
display as well as scrap books
and pamphlets on the two
churches. She gave a detailed
history of both the United and
Lutheran churches.
