Father and son waikathon GB clinic committee meet Free labour and time would also be greatly appreciated to get the project on the way. It was felt if $15,000. could be raised to get the project started and that smaller donations from interested persons would very likely come in. FATHER AND SON WALK David Lee and David Lee Jr. left London last Fri eve on foot. They walked to Nairn and slept the night on the side of the road in their sleeping bags. In the morning they continued their walk to Parkhill and then on to Grand Bend where they visited the remainder of the weekend with Mr. Lee's sister-in-law, Miss Irene Hill. There doesn't seem to be any generation gap .in this family. By MRS. CLARKE KENNEDY GRAND BEND _ Grand Bend and area Chamber of Commerce and interested persons met for the second time August 24 to continue plans for a medical clinic. Those present were informed by the Committee the progress they had made. W. B. F. McLaren, J. Mennel and Prosper Van Bruaene had visited several surrounding Clines and feel that one built like the clinic in Arkona and sponsored by the Lion's Club there would be ideal for Grand Bend. Drawings were available for those present to observe. Lions Club president reported meeting with his executive. concerning property on the Gill Road and informed the meeting the land was available but he couldn't quote a value on it until the Club meets in September. A motion was made for the present Acting Committee to meet again at a later date to find out more facts as how to go about financing such a project. W. Sylvester, bank manager, suggested shares by distribution could be one way or donations of money another, since this would be tax free for anyone who feel they could give a generous donation. that the United Church will use in the future.
