for Saturday's wedding in
Hensall United Church at which
Lois Elaine Simmons, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John F.
Simmons, Hensall, became the
bride of George Albert Godbolt,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Godbolt, Exeter.
White gladioli and white
MUMS amid candelabra set the
scene. Glenn Cooper, Toronto,
was organist and Ted Wilson,
Exeter, was soloist.
On the arm of her father, the
bride wore a floor-length bridal
ensemble of lagoda. The
sleeveless dress was fashioned on
empire lines with the bodice and
wedding band neckline overlaid
with guipure lace. The matching
long-sleeved coat was enhanced
with applique designs of the
same lace as was the aisle-wide
train, She carried a cascade of
red roses and white mums.
Bridal attendants were Mrs.
Joan Middleton, sister of the
bride, Wingham; Miss Marilyn
Sinclair, London; and Miss
Jacqueline Simmons, sister of
the bride, Hensall. Junior
bridesmaid was Miss Carolynne
Dale Simmons, sister of the
bride, Hensall.
The senior attendants wore
raspberry red Juliet gowns, The
junior bridesmaid wore a white
satin crepe gown with a
raspberry sash, All carried
cascades of red roses and pink
and white carnations.
John Godbolt, Exeter, was
best man. Wayne Ratz, Sarnia,
and Wayne Snyder, Kitchener,
ushered guests.
The reception was held in the
Hensall Community Centre.
The young couple will live in
Forest where the groom, a
graduate of UWO, is presently
on staff at North Lambton
Secondary School.

Rev. Earl Steinman officiated

by the groom's uncle, Rev.
Ernest Mueller.

Richardson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Richardson, RR 1,
Zurich, became the bride of
Maxwell David Willsie, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Max Willsie,
London.
White and mauve gladioli
formed the background for the
ceremony performed by Rev,
Harold Currie. Organist was Mrs.
Beatrice Hess, Zurich, and the
soloist was Miss Marlene Rader,
also of Zurich.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a white
sculptured satin A-line
floor-length gown with a
stand-up collar and lilypoint
sheath sleeves. Lace edged with
lace ruffles formed the centre
front panel of the dress. The
same ruffles enhanced the large
pleat at the back of the skirt
which extended into a flowing
chapel train. A matching
three-tiered bow held her
elbow-length veil of silk illusion
in place. She carried a white
orchid surrounded by white and
mauve carnations and trailing
ivy.
Sandra Richardson, Zurich,
was maid of honor for her sister,
Gail Turner, sister of the bride,
Zurich, and Barbara Willsie,
cousin of the groom, Glanworth,
were bridesmaids. Junior
bridesmaid was Linda Bell, niece
of the bride, Kippen. Flowergirl
was Mary Harris, London.
The attendants provided a
colorful background in their
identical A-line floor-length
gowns of lilac sculptured satin
trimmed with violet velvet
ribbon, To add a final touch to
their ensembles, the bridesmaids
wore matching velvet headpieces
and carried nosegays of pink and
mauve carnations.
The flowergirl wore a
floor-length white gown similar
to the one worn by the bride.
She wore a matching bow in her
hair and carried a nosegay of
pink and mauve carnations.
Gary Quaife, London, was
best man. Ushers were Bob
Turner, brother-in-law of the
bride, Zurich; and Ted Willsie,
brother of the groom, London.
Larry Rowe, nephew of the
bride, Exeter, was ringbearer.
The wedding dinner was
served in a Fellowship Hall at
the church. The bride's mother
wore a two-piece ensemble of
celery and olive green fortrel,
matching olive . green coat and
accessories and a. corsage of
orange roses and carnations. The
mother of the groom chose a
two-piece ensemble of silk
matelasse brocade in a light
champagne tone featuring a
simple dress and coat, matching
accessories and a corsage of
orange roses and bronze mums,
For a wedding trip to
northern and eastern Ontario,
the bride changed to an emerald
green wool skimmer and a
tailored plaid coat of emerald
green and white.
They will reside in London.
Prior to her wedding the
bride was honored at showers
given by Mrs. Agnes Splane,
London; Mrs. Turnbull, London;
Mrs. Ian McAllister, RR 1,
Zurich; and Mrs. Pearl Koehler,
Hensall.
