St. Catherines October 19, Johanna Maria Huibers, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Huibers, became the bride of Donald Emerson Blake, son of the late Elias Blake and Mrs, M. Blake, London. A reception was held at the Holiday Inn at St. Catherines for over 100 guests. Later a dance was enjoyed. Those attending from the area were 'Mrs. Russell Blake, Ailsa Craig; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Blake and Mrs. Laurene Srigley, London; and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Blake and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hodgins, Clandeboye; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Reddick, Sarnia. The groom is a corporal at Canadian Forces Base, Trenton. The bride is an airline stewardess. DEANERY MEETING The fall meeting of the deanery of West Middlesex was held at St. James Anglican Church last Wednesday. President Mrs. Frances Wallace, Strathroy, was in charge. Mrs. Alan Hill, in the absence of Mrs. Emily Tomes, welcomed the guests to Clan deboye. After the business, the ladies were invited to watch a TV dialogue between four clergymen. Later they were allowed to ask questions of the panel. Some of the subjects discussed were the change of name from the WA to the ACW; the women's workshop at Huron College; and what is "unchanging". PERSONALS Starting November 3, the service at St. James Anglican Church will be at 12:30 pm. Miss Donna Stewart, Middlesex home economist, visited the 4-H club October 19. The course was completed October 26 and Achievement Day is November 16 at Medway School. The bazaar at the United Church Saturday was opened by Rev. and Mrs. W.C. Tupling. Mrs. Jim Dc•naldson i president, accepted admissions. On display were homemade breads, buns, pies, cakes, tarts, honey, eggs, flowers, garden produce and some sewing. A dainty tea was served. They planned a presentation and dance to be held in the Zurich Arena, Saturday evening, November 9 for the newly-weds. Mr. & Mrs. Fred Dobbs entertained several guests in honor of their daughter Patti, who was celebrating her birthday. They also had a going-away party for Mrs. Dobbs! father, H. S.
