Second year students will be spending one day per week at area farms in practical farming lessons. The farmers will be acting as part-time instructors. Intermittent patches of rough road surface have been placed on both approaches of highway 83 in an attempt to slow traffic approaching the corner. PERSONALS The Bill Johnsons are the proud owners of a beautiful pair of antlers measuring 52 inches across. Bill experienced the thrill of a lifetime last week when he shot a moose on his first hunting trip. He was hunting in the Kapuskasing area. Among those attending Open House in the West McGillivray Hall Sunday afternoon in honour of Mrs. Albert Harlton's 90th birthday were Miss Agnes Anderson, Mr. & Mrs. W. Mrs. Jack Duncan, program D convener was in charge of the meeting of which the theme was "Thanksgiving". Mrs. William Snow read the Scripture Lesson. Mrs. Edwin Miller and Mrs. Lloyd Hackney gave readings. The topic taken from the Study Book was given by Mrs. Glen Stewart and Mrs. Jack Stewart. A vocal duet by Mrs. Donald Bray and Miss Doris Elford was enjoyed. Mrs. William Rohde opened the business part of the meeting. A collection for the Hospital Auxiliary Tag Day and a thankoffering envelope collection were taken. Mrs. Lloyd Ballantyne and Mrs. Ray Cann will be delegates to the South Huron Perth sectional meeting. It was decided that each member donate $2 by the November meeting to help raise the budget; and to entertain the Messengers to a Halloween party.
