KEN McKELLAR CROMARTY The people of this community were shocked to learn of the sud- den passing of Mr. Frank Stagg at his home in the village Sat- urday, May 11. He had spent many years of his life in this district and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by a son Reg and three grandchildren in Exe- ter, also a sister in England. The Cromarty Ladies Aid met at the home of Mrs. James Miller with Mrs. Gerald Carey pre- siding. Devotions were led by Mrs. Charles Douglas and Mrs. G. Carey. The roll call was an- swered with an amusing incident from childhood days. Guitar selections were given by Bruce Miller. During the business period a motion was made to send a do- nation to Perth Presbytery to help pay Malcolm Mcintyre's travelling expenses to Formosa. Plans were also made for cat- ering for the Stratford Kiwanis Club supper in June. Lunch was served by the hos- tess assisted by Mrs. M. Dow and Mrs. T. L. Scott. When the meetings commence in Clinton at the CommunityCen- ire, Tuesday, May 21, repre- sentatives will present pros and cons to such an arrangement.
