MEDWAY EUCHRE The Medway Euchre Club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Daley last Monday even- ing with an 100% attendance. High score prizes went to Mrs. Elmer Summers and Mrs.Ches- ter McComb; lone hand prizes to Mrs. W. J. Stanley and Mr. Cliff McRoberts and low score prizes to Mr. and Mrs. Wm McComb. The closing meeting for the season will take the form of a turkey dinner at the Forrester P S Hall at Granton, April 22 fol- lowed by cards. CUB MEETING The attendance for Monday night's Cub meeting was down a little but 30 boys were out. A busy session was held prac- tising for the Cubaree at Clin- ton, May 11. Cubmaster Gordon Froats looked after the new boys. The knot practising was in charge of Mr. Jones, who also led in a new game, ,,Clear the Deck". Much time was spent in under- hand ball-throwing. As Gerry Freeman is still taking his own course, there was no First Aid instruction Monday night. Bake sale helps group's coffers The General UCW meeting for the month of April was held in the schoolroom following the Holy Week Service in the church last Tuesday evening. Mrs. Orville Jones, Mrs. Erie Young and Mrs. Sheridan Revington were in charge of the worship service. A report on the recent success- ful Spring Supper was given and plans made for a bake sale May 18. The hats, scarves etc. which had been collected were taken into the patients at the Ontario Hospital by Mrs. Dave Park. Plans were made to attend a smorgasbord at Parkhill, April 24, to hear Mrs. Gilbert Bee- croft speak on, "What in the world is the church doing?" & Mrs Robert Wilson Of Burlington were weekend ,guests of Mr. & Mrs. Bert Thompson..
