Shoebottorn, Mrs. Johnson was
also presented with a parchment
for completing Part 2 of the
GilWell padge Training Course.
She had attended a week's training
course at Blue Springs last year.
A short sing song was con-
ducted by Mrs. Hodgins, Mr.
Jack Fairfield of Centralia, also
a guest, showed two interesting
films which were much enjoyed
by the large crowd attending.
CLUB GIRLS ENTERTAIN
The Women's Institute held
their monthly meeting Wednes-
day evening, February 21. Girls
of the 4H Club were in charge
of the program. In spite of the
adverse weather there was a
good attendance. Roll call was
answered by '"My present bed-
room color scheme".
Mrs. Harvey Hodgins intro-
duced the 4H members and Anne
Marie Dietrich chaired the pro-
gram. The girls displayed ach-
ievement books, pillow slips,
dresser scarves and bed spreads.
Wendy Neil discussed the current
topic of the Club "The Club Girl
Entertains". Angela Mary Mor-
rissey commented on bedroom
color schemes, using a miniature
bedroom to illustrate her talk.
There was a piano solo by Sandra
Shapton and one by Dianne Shap-
ton, a vocal duet by Elva Fink-
beiner and Anne Morrissey, a
piano duet by June and Mary
Hodgins. Linda Haugh read a

TRIP TO QUEBEC
The trip to the Winter Carnival
at Quebec City proved a mem-
orable one for Gwen Finkbeiner.
Lodgings in Chateau Frontenac,
a ride about the streets in a
horse-drawn caleche, a banquet
at the Savoy with orchestral
music played during the meal,
a parade with bands, floats and
the Snow Queen in Lower Town,
the Quebec Wax Works, i c e
sculptures, and an ice palace
on the main street-all these
wove a tapestry of exciting ex-
perience.
ENJOY BROOMBALL
Monday, February 19 the young
people of Crediton's churches
enjoyed a game of broomball at
the Centralia Arena. Then they
returned to Crediton United
Church. Mr. Jones, a repres-
entative of the Shantyman's
Christian Association, sang to the
accompaniment of his guitar, and
showed a film of the work of his
organization,
